Regarding staff professionalism
Today I went to cargills with my husband and he was outside of the premises while I'm buying goods. Staff searched a person named mohammed (A person who having psychiatric issues and everyone knows him in my area), and one girl in the staff, staring at my husband and said "No, but there is someone like mohammed". I felt really sorry for that behavior on their customers, kindly concern on this and advice them how to interact with customers.

About cashier girls-Hakmana branch
Most of your staff are helpfull and kind.But some cashier girls collect pramotional discounts from our bills.
If we reject to get it,they requst repeatatly.
Ex.there was discount for cocacola,but we didnt want cocacola.they add it to our bill and paid to us.
Ex.today it was discount over 2500/=bill,we didnt want it and they adda to the bill and got discount.

Cargills food city - kotikawatta customer service is very bad
26th feb 2024. Cargills food city kotikawatta. Time around 1.30 p.M.
I was asked for some chicken liver. Nobody came there for our service. This is not the first time happened this. Last week also happened the same thing (two lady staff members were having their personal conversation and when I asked for some chicken.. They told me to ask from someone else)
That same lady was there in the cashier today and she didn't give me a bag to carry the chicken livee I bought today. When I asked for a bag.. She showed me bag containg chicken liver which was just provided for biling purposes. It was so dirty and I can't carry them without a bag.
I am so dissapointed and this is the worst shop i've ever seen. Even pavement store keepers have manners than this

On 18th October 2023 i went to the cargills food city piliyandala and bought items, paid with my debit card. The cashier has charged the amount of Rs. 1761 twice on my card. When i told her she was rude about it and dismissed me saying i will receive the amount later on. We wanted to buy fish for an almsgiving and went to the food city in kottawa around 3.40om 29/09/2023 and there wasn’t any sales assistant when we go there at fish selling area. Harassment and defamation by a irresponsible security officer without reasonable cause

Time : Around 4.10 p.m.
After checking my hand bag at the exit gate on my way out , the security officer grabbed the perfume bottle which I was using and accused that it was stealing from that outlet.
I immediately requested to check it in the system or check the barcode of that product.
As per my request they stepped to check and they stated that the product is not available at the moment and out of stock.
I complained about this incident to the Branch Manager after trying to contact him for two & half hours & I put a complain to the head office through the hotline.

In order to inform about the inconvenience that happened yesterday (15.08.2023) in Ratnapura cargills food city, yesterday when I put the items I chose to buy from your company in a red basket and placed it on the relevant place of the cashier, the employee there said do not leave the items here, put the items on the surface of the cashier and take the items for billing. I was very uncomfortable and she said that it is forbidden to keep goods on the surface. Then I asked her if I wanted to bend down and take the goods. Cheating on customers
Today I bought some good and it was cost of 4051, I produced 5000 and the cashier used four 1000 vouchers infront of me and took 4000 cash out. He gave me 949 which is the balance of 5000 and kept the 4000 with him. These vouchers should have redeemed by customers, but it is used by own staff. Ill never ever visit Cargills again

Hi,
It's general complaint about the staff in Cargills Mountlavenia branch. Twice my bag broke and all the goods were on the road. The same thing happened today right in front of the Cargills none of the staff members came to and helped us atleast to pick the things or not even offered another bag.
Also the same girl gave those bags twice. Once it was on the road.
Then please remember that we don't go to Cargills Mountlavenia to steal anything. We go the buy things. So today three security cards were walking with us and watching us from distance. It's very uneasy for us to shop. There were so many Rif raf's around but why they were following only us.
I work for a reputated place and we are from good family background. Also I'm a regular customer. Do they put all the eggs in the same busket?
It doesn't happen in any other Cargills. Why can't they have a CCTV and monitor like keells?
It's very very embarrassing for us. We shop in family super as well. We don't see such behaviour there even though it is a small supermarket. Those staff members are so happy to serve us with a smiling face.These girls are always with long faces.
Please inform your staff to make sure they give us good bags and not to treat everyone as a thief

Over the past 12 months, I have experienced the distressing situation of purchasing spoiled meat from your establishment on four separate occasions. Despite raising this issue with your staff, the only response I have received is a dismissive claim that it was a mistake. However, when an incident recurs more than twice, it can no longer be considered a mere oversight.
The most recent incident occurred on July 13, 2023, at 7:20 PM, when I purchased chicken drumsticks from your outlet. Upon arriving home and unpacking the items, an offensive odor emanated from the meat, indicating its spoiled condition. It is disheartening that, due to the trust we have placed in your company, customers are no longer able to assume that the meat they purchase is of acceptable quality. This deterioration in your product standards is deeply concerning.
Previously, on three separate occasions, I returned spoiled meat to your outlet, during which your staff confiscated the receipt, denying me the ability to retain evidence. However, this time, I was adamant about preserving the receipt as proof of purchase. I demand that you acknowledge the severity of these recurring incidents and take immediate action to rectify the situation. Furthermore, I expect to receive suitable compensation for the distress and inconvenience I have endured as a result of your company's negligence.
I regret to inform you that these recurring incidents over the past 12 months have exceeded the threshold of acceptability. It is highly alarming that your outlet has demonstrated a lack of adherence to safety protocols. I have personally witnessed instances where your freezers are intentionally switched off overnight, resulting in partially or entirely thawed products the following morning. Additionally, I have observed fruits and vegetables nearing expiration or turning mushy being cut into pieces, repackaged, and sold at discounted prices. Such practices raise significant concerns about the quality and safety of the products you offer to customers.
Your marketing slogan, "gedara yana gaman", no longer holds true for customers who risk their well-being by purchasing food from your Panadura outlet. These circumstances pose serious health hazards, and it is imperative that you address them with the utmost urgency. I implore you to thoroughly investigate the authenticity of my complaints, which can be easily verified by reviewing the CCTV footage of your outlet and assessing the operational processes followed by your staff.
I express my utmost disappointment in the Panadura outlet of Food City and eagerly await your immediate response and subsequent actions to rectify this deplorable situation. Failure to address these concerns adequately will leave me no choice but to escalate this matter to higher authorities and consumer protection organizations.

Incorrect order
I was purchased some goods from the outlet Habaraduwa on 15th may 2023. Since I had a feeling the bill is wrong and after I was checked the bill I realized that one item has double included in the bill. So I had to go again and asked about that. The cashier was a lady and she told me you will have two items not one. But I told her that I purchased one. She told another girl to check my bill again. It was took about 20minutes without any explanation to me while I was so ill. After she told me that she had mistaken and billed that twice and asked me do I need another item or money for that. If I want another one I wasn’t in need until she asked me to do so. She paid me money back but not even said a sorry. It’s so shameless to treat a customer in that way. I was so disappointed from the lack of manners of your cashiers! It’s better to train them to have at least to say sorry and to be grateful.

I wish to make a complaint on Banana sold at your stores. The Banana Ambul, Seeni, and Kolikudu are been treated with chemicals to ripen fast. this is not the quality we would like to buy from your reputed stores. as you all advertise that you all go directly to the farmers and collect fresh items. last week we purchased a combe of Seeni kesel on with the outside appearance was excellent whereas the inside was patches of brown colour and hard. we had to throw them as it was not good for consumption.
I humbly request you not to sell this type of chemically treated fruits. within a day or two they turn over ripen and yellow skin turns black spots. i have seen you all are discounting them or throwing them which cost you also moeny.
Please blacklist the supplier and source from farmers following good agriculture practices. i will to get a reply or you all can write to newspapers and conform the quality that you are selling.
