Receipt not provided and it was needed for a gift card
I went to CVS to purchase a few things but mainly to purchase a gift card. I was told to use the machine instead of being checked out by an employee. I had to use the machine and do the work myself. I purchased a visa $250 gift card and the receipt was not emailed to me. I was told by a lady named Christine that if I don't received a receipt to call her. I...

I am writing this complaint with my experience in the midst of switching pharmacys after being with the same pharmacy for over 10 years. The pharmacists I am writing in reference to his name is Owen. He has been extremely short when calling to check in even to the status of my medications being filled. My personal Doctor called all of these medications in...

Maynard, MA, CVS pharmacist, Brandon, deserves this complaint.
Several times, he has given me specific dates when a prescription would be ready. I write that date in my calendar. I go there that day and he tells me it won't be ready until the next day or next. He has done the same thing to 2 of my adult female friends. Furthermore ... he has been EXTREMELY rude to me and others in front of other customers. You must be very desperate for Pharmacists.
Desired outcome: fire him
Wait time for pharmacy calls
Having dealt with CVS for my perscriptions for many years, I am very aware of their typical responses to pharmacy calls . I have waited hours on many occassions just to renew a perscription. I have also been in the CVS pharmacy location on numerous occassions and heard the message 1 call waiting or two calls waiting or more and observed no effort to answer those calls because all the staff working are busy filling perscriptions. Clearly you do not have enough help to handle calls and everything else the pharmacy has to do.
So, a recommendation. Please think about adding another option to request a callback, or to leave a message so no one would have to even speak to a pharmacy employee if enough info was left on the voicemail message. The way its' working right now is not working. My name is Tom Pilch and my birthday is 5/18/1953. I have many perscriptions thru CVS if you care to check. Thank you for your time.
Inventory / ordering practices
My first complaint pertains to the CVS store #6146 in Norfolk, VA 23518. 1) The store is frequently out of the Tangerine/Lime sparkling water (Gold Emblem). And others… 2) Per the store, a truck delivers every Friday. 3) On 6/19, I went to the store to purchase the drinks and per the employee the product was here but it couldn't be located. Asked if she...
Read full review of CVSI would like to know if it is in the job description of a pharmacist to accuse a patient of misusing an insulin perscription.
When it was time to pick up my insulin pens, I realized that I had not received the usual text from CVS Monclair. I called in to see if it was ready and the new lead pharmacist came on the line and started barading me---but not stopped short of saying the word "abuse"--about the amount of insulin was written in my perscription. I assured him that this perscription has worked well with my Primary Care Doctor for years! There are times when I may need to take extra insulin for a number of reasons and there are good times when I use less. He followed up this conversation by contacting my doctor and got him to change the prescription. Can he do this? Is this his call? Can he come between a patient and that patient's Primary Care, compromising the working relationship that has worked for 10+ years? He has also damaged the positive relationship I have with CVS that has been working well for 10+ years.
His name is Logan___________.

Desired outcome: If he is overstepping his position, he definitely should be repromised if not fired. He should also apologize to me, in writing.
CVS CarePass Membership
I was a CVS Carepass member from Jan 23, 2020 to Jan 23, 2021. On Jan 23, 2021, I called the CVS Carepass program to cancel my membership. On the same day (Jan 23, 2021) my credit card account was charged the annual membership fee. Since that time I have been in contact with many different representatives of that company and have waited patiently for numerous investigatory tickets to be processed and then be called back by so-called "informed" representatives with a resolution. In March, I was told by a supervisor that my account was active and problem resolved. In May 2021, I discovered that my account remained inactive. Since Jan 2021, I expected that either my membership would be reactivated or that I would receive a refund in my credit account. CVS refuses to do either of these options and will not refund the charge on my account that was posted the same day that I had called to inactivate the account. It is absolutely unacceptable that CVS conducts business in this way. If the refund is not made, I will no longer do any business with them.
Pharmacy and staff
STORE #4151
Overall this pharmacy and staff have gotten so dumb over the past couple of years that I will complain to my employer who forces me through my insurance plan to use CVS.
Today (6/17/21) the staff got an attitude with me over me asking to check if a new prescription was sent in as a 30 day or 90 day supply. I just grab the prescription from her and called them idiots (which most of them have been lately in this store). Maybe you can't get good staff as the turnover has been extremely high, maybe due to the armed robberies at the store and the lack of security provided by corporate. Also, the outside of the store is disgusting and needs to be power washed. Can you afford the money for the up keep?
I will not buy anything else at CVS even with money back coupons, as the pharmacy just turns me off to anything CVS.
Pharmacy
My daughter needed her prescriptions at 15840 South Cicero Avenue. We called June 5th, 2021 to deliver meds to 3517 South 57th Avenue. CVS pharmacy mentioned an old address on Claremont (old over 8 yrs) we gave new address. Called CVS on June 8th to find out where is medications and was told sent out to Claremont St. I said this is a CVS error and we need medication now for my daughter. Pharmacist Kathy said can only provide 3 days worth and for me to get in touch with post office to find medications. I stated why should I research when it was CVS error and that CVS should redo the prescription and research themselves. After constantly trying to get the refill she finally did it and I had to pick up and charged me $5.67. I said well what about the originally payment I made which was $24.51. And why is there a huge difference, she couldn't answer. I said okay please refund me for the original purchase CVS lost. and she said she cant until someone finds the original mail order. Why cant I receive my refund again when it was CVS error. Then she said go to store to get refund. I was like you all are far from me that's why I requested the delivery in the first place. So now its 6/17 and yet no refund. This is ridiculous especially if CVS was able to take my credit card over the phone so easily why cant they refund me over the phone. Now every time I call to follow up I am on hold for 15 minutes or more. this is why I decided to write my complaint. Please resolve so I don't have to keep dealing with a frustrating situation that wasn't my fault to begin with. I'm truly disappointed. Yolanda Mendez [protected]
Desired outcome: Receive my refund of $24.51 back to my credit card without me going out of my way for CVS
Call Center
I have requested several times to be removed from the CALL list. I receive call all day ANYTIME even a Sunday morning at 8:30am! I spoke w/customer service several times regard this "harassment". I have the app and I am set-up for text alerts only. If I remove the contact or block it, I will not receive any calls from my local CVS pharmacist. Seems odd...I have them (my local pharmacist) in my contacts, yet each time I receive an automated call it pops up as my local pharm. THATS INSANE.
AND MUCT BE FIXED.
I spoke to my pharmacist & as I mentioned a representative twice. I was told by my pharmacist I would have to call cooperate. (which I did)I once stayed on the line to see if I could "opt-out" there was no option.
And if I do "opt-out" I will not receive text messages.
I TIRED EVERY GOD DAMN NUMBER FOR CVS COOPERATED AND I CANNOT AND WILL NOT WAIT OVER 10 TO 20 MINS TO SPEAK TO A HUMAN BEING.
PLEASE...PLEASE update the APP to have PHONE and/OR TEXT options.
Keeping the phone only for text.
AGAIN THIS IS COMPLETE HARRASMENT. LEAVE ME ALONE.

I have gone to CVS on New Brittan Ave, west Hartford Newington CT
for over 20 years . One pharmacist In particular work's the knight shift has found it impossible to give me my prescriptions, For Over 4 to 5 times I have gone at night for my prescription's, and every time after walking for 45 minuets to CVS, The Pharmacist claims the Husky Sytsma is down . I can understand that . Because when I usually go at knight and the other framesets that's is there tells me the same thing, and I usually wait 1 hour more or less and the system is back up, and I get my prescriptions . ( best pharmacist ever )But he pharmacist in the knight of 06/13/2021 always has a problem where I can't get my prescription NO Mather what day I go . for the 4th or 5th time, tells me the system has been down from 12: midnight, I was their at 2:30 AM, Then he tells me there is a systam reboot at 3 am till 3:30, so I SAY OK I am in a lot of pain, I still need my prescriptions . I will wait . And after waiting till 4:30 am, he tells me the system might not be up till 8:30 in the morning . after I waited after 2 hours' . And there is nothing he can do . Really insinuating for me to go away .
What a deference in customer care between the pharmacist on06/13/2021 and the other pharmacist that's usually there . Medication is sometimes a matter of life or death .
Another time he tells me the Tylenol precreation that husky pays for is the same as the one of the shelf . If that's so, how come husky pays for the prescribe one and not the one of the shelf ?
Desired outcome: Don't know , you should get some one more professional .
Cost of prescription
I checked cost of Shingles shot online for CVS and it said with coupon it would be $155.00. When I checked with my local CVS they said $198 or $199. I asked about the coupon and they said their system could not take it and I also asked about GoodRX coupon which is also $155. and got the same answer. Why does it say one thing on line and another at the CVS pharmacy in Statesboro, GA.

CVS regularly advertises about walk in services at minute clinics. I Recently saw their ad about walk in Covid antibody testing. Went to my local site in worth Illinois, at around 10 AM on a Saturday. Was directed to sign into a kiosk to make an appointment. Say what? I am a walk-in patient. Was told that they only see people by appointment and was given an appointment for one hour 40 minutes later. I waited. During the time they saw a total of three patients. With repeated time gaps in between. There was no one else waiting. Yet they never even considered seeing me in between patients. Ridiculous! Walkins should be seen between other patients as time permits. I was there for a test it took a total of 10 minutes of their time to [censored] my finger and get my payment, yet they never even considered seeing me. I have pictures of the empty waiting room. I was literally the only one there. Total false advertising and horrible practice by local employees! You need to do better.
Desired outcome: Stop or false advertising or make your employees treat walk-ins

I have a complaint regarding the appearance of an employee at your MLK Blvd. CVS (Durham, NC). I observed an employee (5'2", Black, light-complected, blond hair, female) dressed in tight clothing. Her body outline was visible. This is offensive and, in certain cultures and religions, it is unacceptable and never allowed. Her hair was also improperly dressed — blond colored with dark undertones. The hair style was unprofessional and dearly unattractive. In businesses where food and health products are sold, hair styles must be neat, manageable, and standard. This was not the case for your employee. Her hair dress was baudy and out of place.
I complained to a white male employee (dark hair, 5'3", medium build) who was unhelpful. He had a rough, aggressive manner which was frightening and off-putting. To encounter him on the street I would place my hand before my child as we passed. Please hire approachable males who know no aggression.
I finally spoke to the pharmacy manager who was of little help.
Approx. 6pm, 6/10.
Desired outcome: Fire employee(this includes the aggressive male;women should not be stood down in stores;this is crazy).

Transferring Prescriptions to Walgreens Hello, I haven't been a longtime customer of CVS however I do enjoy shopping at CVS from time to time. In attempting to fill my mothers pain medication (which was filled at this cvs for many years) the pharmacist tried to charge me $48 instead of the usual $3.00. I questioned why and he couldn't explain it. Then after he played on the computer few a few minutes, he asks me "does your mother know of the opiod issues?" I replied yes and that I control her medicine. He says "oh, ok it will be $3.00" WHAT? He claimed it was a new issue from Medicare. I deal with Medicaid/Medicare daily and there is no such a question. And now...trying to reach someone at CVS is an absolute joke. This complaint probably will never be addressed. Thats fine though, I can take it to the news.
Desired outcome: a human contact reply
