service complaint
In August of last year I took my 2012 Hydundi Genesis to your 2315 Davis Drive Cary NC location to get a routine oil change. A few weeks later I noticed a large amount of oil in my driveway. I called Mr. Tire and was told to bring my car back. Once I took the car back to Mr. Tire I was told the oil cap was not put back on correctly after my recent oil change. The service man told me that he tighten the cap and put more oil back into my car. My family patronzie Mr. Tire, we took all our vehicles for regular maintance.in November I had to take my car to another trusted Automotive shop for an oil change because Mr. Tire was too far from my new work location. Once I took my car to this shop, I was took that there was no oil in my car. My car was knocking and shaking was it was determined that my engine was damaged. I called Mr. Tire to explain to what happen, they told me to bring the car to them. I had to drive over an hour with my car knocking and shaking. Once I got the car to Mr. Tire, they examined the vehicle and determine that it would be turned over to their insurance. I had the car towed to Hyundai shop where it was determined that my engine was gone due to my car had having any oil in it. Your insurance company, Travlers would not pay for the damage done to my car, stating Mr. Tire was not liable. This is a lie because had they put oil back into my car everyting would have been fine. I never had any issues with my car before this poor service. Now I am out of a car because negligence of Mr. Tire

My name is Carolyn Grobes. I've got a BIG COMPLAINT. Your store in Clinton RIPPED my mom off! Last January I took my car in and replaced 2 Firestone tires with Michelin tires. At the time I only needed 2 not 4 new times so I left 2 Firestone tires on my car. Recently my mom has a blow out on the Beltway and took the car in to replace the remaining 2...

I've done oil changes and repair at this shop for a couple of years, reasonably satisfied with its work; but my recent experiences were frustrating due to the staff's irresponsible and dishonest behavior. My wife and I went to the shop as scheduled on 11/21/19 for oil change and tire rotation. Before completing the service, my wife overheard the technician...

Starting with day one finding one of the new tires flat when coming out of the house to go to work, I have been back numerous times for a slow leak over the last 18 months. The wrong valve stem caps were put on and corroded. The tires had not been getting rotated at oil changes and after stating this at one of the appointments, suddenly the slow leak became...

I was given a misdiagnosis of a break caliper pin that cost me over 1800 dollars. The shop ended replacing my whole front end. They just kept putting parts because they didn't know what the problem was. I was never refunded my money and all they did was send me to another shop in order to resolve the problem. After my experience I would never recommend thi...

I purchased tires in 2017 from Mr. Tire. I asked if it needed an alignment at the time. I was told no. When the tires were put on my car, I was feeling a tightness and the car was not driving properly once the tires were installed. My steering wheel also had a vibration in it. I once again took the car back asking if I needed a wheel alignment, told no. I paid $555.00 for my tire package including road hazard.
I take my car in for regular oil changes and tire rotations. I was told my Mr. Tire every 7000 miles. I have had my car in Mr. Tire at least 4-5 times besides the two times I took it in to see if I needed a wheel alignment.
On Saturday, November 2nd, I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. They called me back to show me that I had one worn tire and one tire showing steel.
My car has 55, 000 miles for the package I purchased and at this time I had put 36, 000 miles on it. I asked what caused it and John from Mr. Tire told me it was because I needed a wheel alignment.
First of all, I had it in twice because it did not feel right once the tires were installed asking if I needed an alignment and was told no. Next, I have had it in 4-5 times for oil changes and tire rotations, latest being May of 2019.
I am very displeased with the service and I want some type of a refund. I had to pay for a wheel alignment of $ 104.00 for which I was told no twice. Second, if my rotations were being done, my tires would not have been down to the steel. This would have been noticed at the time I brought it in for oil changes and rotations.
Just because I am a woman, I am not stupid. The tires were bad to begin with or someone was not doing their job.
On November 2nd, as I said. I paid $104.00 for a wheel alignment and $111.00 for my two tires and that was with the road hazard I paid for when I purchased the tire package.
I own a 2008 Cadillac and I maintain my car. I paid $555.00 for the tire package, $104 for the wheel alignment and $111.00 for two new tires. Total$ $770.00
for which I have only driven 36, 000 miles on tires that were to last 55, 000.
I would appreciate some type of refund from this. I have never had a problem with tires as I have had with Mr. Tire.
Steel coming out of my tire after having it at Mr. Tire numerous times is unacceptable.
I would appreciate you looking into this matter and getting back to me on how we are going to resolve this where both parties are satisfied.
Thank you for your time.
Marie Hayes

oil change
I had an appointment for 2pm today for an oil change. I called at 145 to check to see if they were on schedule. She said yes. I arrived at 2. They didn't touch the car for 30 minutes until I complained and then they started. An hour later I saw the mechanic leave so I asked for a status update. He responded by saying that the computer inventory wa...
Read full review of Mr. Tireoil change additional costs
Mr. Tire offers a $10.00 coupon but then simply adds another 9.98 to the cost of an oil change for additional "profits" for the shop. This is a deceptive trade practice and I will be reporting it to Maryland Consumer Division of The Attorney General's Office as well as Better Business Bureau. The manager of the Bel Air Md. shop said this is corporate policy and that he could do nothing about it.
after diagnostic charge, fuel pump was replaced
# 1...After a very quick, expensive diagnostic test, determined fuel pump was bad.
#2..."Brandi"...the service writer...said it would be 2 days getting the part...I had no choice as vehicle would not start and had been towed to shop. I said order the part knowing that in our area within 5 miles there are at least 4 different parts stores. Made arrangements to be picked up and borrowed a friend's car. On the way home I stopped at 3 national brand parts stores in the are and each one said they either had one in stock or could have the part by noon of that same day. This was on Thursday morning Sept. 26 at 10 am. I called Mr. Tire and spoke with a service writer and was told it was their policy to order parts on line. I didn't have time to argue the fact as I had appts. elsewhere that day and the next day. Was called Saturday morning the 28th around 10 am that my vehicle was ready for pickup. Went to the shop around noon paid over $900.00 and drove home. Drove the vehicle less than 30 miles total and on Sunday Sept. 29 around 1pm as I was driving the vehicle stopped running and was forced to pull over. Same symptoms as originally diagnosed. So I paid to have it towed back to Mr. Tire and again am without my vehicle. The service writer said he would call me on the 30th after diagnosis but that it ran fine when they finished original work. So I can only expect bad news and further expenses by what he told me over the phone. I have used this location over the years for various reasons but always with different employees. Very satisfied in the past but not this time with current staff. So we will see tomorrow. Not expecting a good outcome based on conversations over the past 3 days with current service writing staff. Wish me luck as I am on a fixed income and am really concerned about this situation.
I hope thank you for reading this.
