I purchased the platinum plan and was told that I would get a discount if I signed up for 3 years. I did. I rent the property out so I wanted to make sure that any of the big ticket items would be covered. 11/29/2023 The management company called and told me that there was no hot water. I had them contact Select so that it could be fixed. December 1, Select sent a copy out. On December 5 the management contacted me letting me know that they had not been able to get a return call from the Plumbing company or Select. I then called Select. At first they told me that there had been no resolution as the company had 1-2 days to let them know the status. After I pointed out that it had been 5 days, I was placed on hold only for them to come back on the line and apologize that there was indeed a resolution and the claim has been denied, stating that the resolution stated that there was a leak, and of course that was the one thing that was excluded on the policy. They could not send me a copy of the resolution nor was there anything on their client portal. By the way, there was no water around the hot water heater. After I complained further, the rep put me on hold again. When she came back she had the plumber on the line to tell me there was a leak and he could get me a new hot
Water heater for $1500. I could go on but...SELECT HOME WARRANTY IS A
SCAM.
