My family walked in shaws on Saturday 14 after 12 o clock .the minute we walked in I could see all eyes on my older son .we went over to the lipstick as I was looking for a black lipstick for my daughter for Halloween.my son went wondering around when the security man started following him and the lad that was folding clothes in men section had full eyes on my son .my son over heard the security man call him a homo and my son decided to leave with the security guy behind him .I witnessed the security man come back into the store and said something to the man that was folding the clothes .I was at the till so I a full view of it as the continued to have a cheeky laugh at my sons experience.I said to my husband as I was paying that people perception of others people is disgusting..we went outside and I meet up with my son and as we were leaving the shopping centre I said to my son that the security man was following him in shaws he said he knew that he had heard him say he was a homo and he left he was very hurt .I am extremely disappointed and hurt at the way my son was treated as a individual.my son should not be put into a box by a member of you staff or be laughed at by your staff because he doesn’t fit into their perfect box of what people should look or dress like . Ye should be ashamed to have these judgmental people working for ye .
Desired outcome: I would love a pubic apology in the store where it happened for my son and my family from both the security man and the man that was folding the clothes .I would hope that both these people would be retrained in how human rights .
