Unauthorized credit card charges
Hello All Amazon account Specialist,
I am very dissatisfied with the handling of my Amazon account, by Amazon, which was hacked. I will explain in detail. In January I received an email from Amazon saying to change my email password. I think the email came on January 25th or 26th. So I immediately changed the password. On January 27th (my Birthday) I received a package from Amazon with two speakers in it. I ask my family did anyone order the speakers and the answer was no. I know I didn't order any speakers so I called Amazon Customer Service. In the mean time I had signed into my Amazon account and I didn't see any order for the speakers. Customer Service said, we will have to investigate this and we will get back to you. On the 27th of January I receive an email from Amazon saying we reviewed my account and are closing it and canceling all orders. My next step was to check Chase/Amazon my credit card for Amazon and I discovered the speakers were charged to that account item [protected] speakers, a $75.00 dollar charge for Item [protected] and my $50.00 dollar gift card balance was used in the process. A gift card was purchased for $125.00 for [protected]@gmail.com,. Now you can see why I am getting a little hot under the collar. II called Amazon Customer Service again and ask for the following to happen. Send me a return label for the speakers, clear the $75.00 dollars from my chase account and finally put $50.00 dollars back on my gift account. Amazons response was it's still under investigation but we will send you the return label.
I called Customer Services and spoke to Kevin. He said he would send me the return label. I received an email ASAP which included the label. Thanks Kevin. I received a email from Amazon Account Specialist on January 31st which outlined what Amazon was going to do.
1 Restore any gift card balance with in the 2 to 3 days.
2 I added the two step sign - in process to my account.
I called the Account Specialist Account number about the $75.00 Charge is still on my Chase account. He said, Call Chase.
I called Chase and reported that my account was hacked at Amazon and charges were put on my Chase account. Chase said, Chase will cancel my chase account card and issue me a new on in about 10 business days.
Chase also removed the $75.00 dollar charge from my account and said, they will investigate it.
On February I called the Amazon Account Specialist number to see about the gift card balance since it way passed the 2 or 3 days. I spoke to Slade and he assured me It would be taken care of in the next several days.
I was having problems with my email but I finally resolved it on the 7th of February and I received a copy of the attached email. Which shows me Amazon knew about this problem and half heartly made little or no effort to fix it. Amazon you need to train your personal so they are better equipped to handle problems like this in a more professional manner. How that is all said, and done I would still waiting for Amazon to resolve the $125.00 gith card dispute.
Today I received another email from Amazon saying they are sorry about my gift cards [protected] and [protected]. Unfortunately we can't refund from our end. The cards are Branded. You must call Abercrombie & Finch. They will help you with the refund. You also can call your bank and raise a dispute.
You can see Amazon has not been very little if any help.

No refund issued to my credit card
I returned a Samsung Watch 5 which I ordered on Amazon. Amazon received the watch and said that a refund would be issued. Amazon put the refund all on a gift card and yet I paid with a Master Card. On Jan 17th, I called Amazon to request the refund to my credit card. The Amazon rep, Luis, saying it was all taken care of and I could expect the credit card refund. No refund was issued on my Mastercard. AND all funds were removed from my gift card balance that had been issued. So the gift card balance = $0 and the MC refund = $0.
No money returned despite the 100% confirmation that my refund was accepted and I would be issued a credit card refund. What I am expecting in a refund of the amount paid which is says on my account was refunded but I never received. I contacted Amazon again on Sun Feb 13, 2023, to request that the refund be issued for my credit card payment and I was promised by the leadership team, Prem, that this would be done and to expect the refund in 48 hours. Nothing has been refunded at this time. On calling Amazon again, they said that no refund was issued yesterday (when it had been promised by the Leadership team staff, Prem). This is not right..
Desired outcome: I am expecting a full refund for the cost and expenses for this watch
Issues with amazon
This is the second time in as many weeks that the courier has left my parcel on the front doorstep in full view of passers by, luckily this parcel was picked up by me unlike the first one which has not been found and i am out of pocket by over £28. These people are obviously too lazy to bother knocking on the door or leaving the parcel out of public view.

Amazon don't offer anymore return labels. Amazon buyers is paying for returns.
I purchased on Amazon 2 Fender Liners for my vehicle. I paid $ 84.42 for this items from AMAZON. When package arrived instead, of Fenders Liners, I received 2 sets of fog lights bumpers. Total different items than I order. I request a return & refund from Amazon. Amazon who listed the item on their website don't provide return label for their items. BUEYRS has to pay for return label.
Desired outcome: After AMAZON destroyed all retailing stores in USA, now are scamming their buyers with returning items what are not the same as listed or bad products.

Customer service team is very poor! They do not respect customers, they transfer from CSA to CSA and do not help or assist customers. You request supervisor/manager, they state there is no one above them. They are rude & disrespectful. They hang up on you when you request supervisor/manager. 2/1/23, 2/2/23 and 2/3/23 are days that I have tried to resolve issues to no avail. There is nowhere to go, not provide any information. Need someone from Amazon that has some ability to resolve problems?

They locked my account for Over a month and made me NO PURCHASE at all my money was stuck with bank fee and then cash out my account to my bank account. I got an email on 1/12 saying that everything was good. so I started putting money back in my Amazon balance and on 1/29 spent all the fees to transfer money just to find out that my account was not fixed and I was told to do it all over. I had enuff I cash out and closed my account. So My recent experience of using other home shopping services has been awful (late delivery’s and poor customer services). we need but everything I seem to order from Amazon (via Prime) has been spot on. Feel I have complained about other companies but should also recognise excellence. Well done Amazon home shopping

Gift card money
I ask my family and friends to give me Amazon Gift cards for my birthday, Christmas, etc. That way I can purchase the "gift" of my choice once money has accrued. However, every time I make certain purchases on Amazon like music or videos - the funds are automatically taken from my gift card balance even though my default payment setting is my Visa card. There is no option to choose whether to use my Visa or gift card balance. It just automatically takes it from the gift card balance. Also, whenever I purchase anything else from Amazon it also defaults to taking the funds from my gift card balance. But at least I can change that but I must do it for every purchase. I make several purchases per month, sometimes several per week. I should not have to change my default every time. There is a reason to have a "gift card" account. It is to use gift money given to me as gifts for myself, not pay for other things I purchase on Amazon like vitamins, tools, gifts for other people, etc. I have complained to customer support 4 or 5 times and they say they can't do anything about it.
Desired outcome: Change website so that default payment source is used for all purchases, including videos and music. Leave the payment choice to the customer in ALL transactions. Leave gift card balance alone.
Delivery to an unsecured mailroom
Amazon tells the drivers not to ring the apartment for delivery to secured apartments, from two drivers themselves, "you might buzz the door, then we'd have to bring the package to you". Wouldn't that be a disaster!
This was the second package, dropped in the floor of the mailroom with a photo taken by the driver, that was not there when I went to the mailroom to get it. May I add, the second package, out of more than 100 probably over the years.
Amazon has told me that once this package was dropped in the mailroom floor, it became my responsibility. They are refusing to refund or redeliver my item.
I've been a Prime Member for well over 2 years now, order almost weekly. They are ready to loose all the business for the rest of my life over a $42.99 item.
They suggested I should have the items delivered to a more secure location, but this is where I live.
Desired outcome: Take responsibility for the horrendous delivery practices when it comes to those of us living in a apartment and refund my $42.99, or in exchange, I am prepared to cancel my membership and never do business with the company again.
My order was cancelled and they are claiming they thought the order was fraudulent
2 weeks later, and I wasn't even told to change my password. I can get into my account(2) just find. Really? There are myriad problems I have called them about, recently. First of all they mixed up my Amazon.Mx account with my American account. I anticipated a disaster in the making, I called, and the Customer Service rep hung up on me. Then I noticed my Amazon saved passwords had about 5 new entries, none of which were initiated by me. Then when I checked again - they appeared to be what I remembered. Then a gift certificate, that was sitting in my email account, was erroneously applied to the duplicate US account, that was NOT linked to Amazon Prime. I know that their Gift Certificate policy is not flexible. I have no problem with that. BUT,
I knew I was going to be in New York and wanted to purchase a few items that are unavailable in Mexico, or, if sent to Mexico are charged with an inordinate amount of taxes and shipping costs. I thought I would send the purchases to my hotel. When I called to see if Amazon Prime could be moved to the US account with my gift certificate... long story short the She Supervisor got super nasty, She said Can Not do it. And I said that's a bunch of ...not true. She actually then asked if there was anything else she could help me with. and ended the call. I decided to buy the items anyway, even if I couldn't use Amazon Prime - and it turned out that most of what I wanted included free shipping within the US. YAY! A day before I was leaving, and a day past the delivery date, I checked my email, only to find that all of the items in the email confirmation of the order and in the tracking email had disappeared. I think they hacked into my account? How else can they disappear items without a separate email correcting or explaining? When I tried calling again - all I asked was to cover the shipping and import duties - as I was back in Mexico and I would be happy to pay for my purchases., with the gift card. I just asked if they would take responsibility for their Psycho Customer Svc. Person (which claimed to be a supervisor). 2 phone calls later, I was told the orders were cancelled because they suspected fraud - New to me. I wasn't notified of that. The original email said they were cancelling the order and NOT returning the payment from the gift certificate (the latter was not true, The money was returned). After another call - I was informed the entire series of events was a fraud issue. Despite having to verify the account with the robot idiot who answers the call And again with the 'supervisor human who takes the call. Now I am waiting to hear back from the Fraud Department. In the meantimes I have sold off most of my Amazon stock. At A Loss. If this is not a formula for total abject failure, I don't know what is.

Customer Service
My interaction with Amazon Customer Service has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional for over two months now. When I first called Customer Service to dispute charges on my credit card they seemed helpful and concerned and told me they would investigate and respond within 48 hours (via email). I am now of the opinion that agents are trained to say anything to resolve the issue in the shortest time possible.
2 months later and two lengthy chats with multiple agents and no resolution including three times being told I would receive an email confirming our discussions within 24 hours, no emails received. Conveniently, Amazon Customer Service is the only one with access to the discussion and apparently does not have access to previous chats and telephone conversations. Any commitment by the agents is null and void the second they end the conversation.
Needless to say, but I am out $74, my credit card is compromised and I expect the recurring charges to show up again next month.
Desired outcome: Stop trying to process Amazon Digital charges on my cancelled credit card every month.

Another person is on my account
My account name has been changed to Johnnie Wheeler. Don't know how this happened. Chatted with Amazon several times and got nowhere. Take this man off my account. As long as he stays in, my account will not shop with Amazon. Had to change my debit card. Also, Johnnie Wheeler has no payment record on the account.
Last month, my account had a debit from Amazon. I did not make a purchase. Called my bank and the money was put back in my account. Amazon has to change this immediately. They allowed this person to go into my account and now I want him off my account.
Desired outcome: Want this person off my account. How Johnnie wheeler got into my account is a mystery to me.
Like to shop on Amazon but will not do that until my account is in my name. Know that Amazon is a reputable company.

Refund not received.
My husband and I ordered an electrical transfer switch for our rv. Before the return date was up we returned it for the reason our original one was continuing to work. I hadn’t received my refund so I went online to check the status. It said “pending”. When I still didn’t get it I went back online & the status was blank! I called customer service & was told it would take 3-5 days. On day 6, when I hadn’t received my $317. Refund I called again. This guy told me 5-7 days. It’s been well over the time to refund. I still do not have my money back. I have a receipt that I sent it back & that they received it! Do not order any big ticket items from amazon! They are liars & scammers.

Amazon Sidney BC warehouse is TERRABLE returning all of my purchases.
Tracking is good from US and up to Langley BC once it is shipped to Sidney BC all 10 of my orders are returned without any effort to deliver them. I have had to cancel my prime membership and look to other ways to make orders.
There is no damage for 10 items, all from different places and the items are cloth.
Only Canada Post can deliver correctly so I will not make any orders from Amazon.ca that involves Amazon Sidney BC to deliver orders.
Amazon agents are hopeless to contact Sidney BC Warehouse to resolve the matter. They need new management at this warehouse and a phone for agents to call.
Desired outcome: They should have a phone number the Amazon Customer Service can call or customers.
Customer service and returns
I returned a few items to Amazon.ca. I followed all the instructions. I requested to return and refund items from my orders list. I printed the return labels and dropped them off at Purolator. Purolator does not give receipts or any proof at all that you dropped off something but both Purolator and Amazon assured me it was fine.
A month later when I notice that the returned items still haven't been refunded and it still reads on my Amazon account that "Refund will be processed once items have been returned"...but I did return them...a month ago.
I call Amazon customer service the lady simple tells me I'm sorry I can not give you a refund without documented proof you dropped off the return. I explain to her again that I don't have anything because Purolator (the courier Amazon chose to use) does not provide any receipt, slip or documentation of any kind.
I ask to speak to a manager.. of course...no one wants to be out money for nothing and this is a couple hundred bucks. The manager says the same thing and then threatens that if I don't have another matter to discuss she will disconnect the call and she did.
I was flabbergasted. I looked up every phone number and email I could find. All the emails bounce back saying they are no longer in use and the phone numbers all lead back to the horrible customer service.

Music app
I purchased over 1200 songs in the past 10 years and after paying for them, I downloaded them to my 3 devices. Now when I don't have internet connection they won't play. The app obviously removed them and put them in the cloud. I want my money back or put the songs back on all 3 devices, and also reimburse me for internet that I only have limited use of.
I paid for that music and I own it. Give it back.
Or I will see you in court.
Also, while I am at it. Your kindles suck. The software will not allow me to make it easier to navigate thru it to find files. Also why can't I delete apps that I don't want?
My fire TV turns on all by its self at night. All garbage.

Amazon shipping and delivery
Package most likely stolen by Amazon driver and Amazon customer service lied about it.
During the local delivery the package mysteriously disappeared. I ordered a 3D printer be delivered to my sons place in Arizona. The order stated it would be there by Thursday 8pm and needed to be signed for. My son waited at his apartment several days, but the package was never delivered. After talking with Amazon support 3 times during the next 2 days they would just tell me there was a delay and they were sending a message to expedite the order and have it delivered the next day. I told them there was something wrong about the delivery but was only told there was a delay. I was finally contacted by a logistics person who was able to determine that the package was scanned in by the local delivery driver when it was loaded on the truck but somehow disappeared during delivery. She stated that it sounded like the driver had done something with it. She contacted the local delivery station during our call and they informed her that the package had still not been located at the warehouse but they would look for it later and didn’t have time right now. It wasn’t a small package, it weighed 30 lbs. I was grateful to finally speak to someone at Amazon that was honest and caring enough find out and tell me what really happened. When I called Amazon support after that, I was told that Amazon had cancelled my order.
Every time I talked to Amazon customer service they said it would be going out for delivery when really the package had disappeared and Amazon didn’t know where it was. They never offered to ship a replacement. They just kept repeating that I could get a refund if it didn't arrive by Sunday, which I didn't want. I wanted the printer delivered. It felt like most of customer service didn't care about that. They just wanted to say whatever to make it go away. A few of them were great and very helpful. But I had to keep asking customer support to find out where the package was and why it hadn't been delivered. So right now it feels safer to redo my order thru a different company.
Desired outcome: I received a refund, but I asked Amazon to ship out another unit ASAP but they wouldn't.
Credit application
In attempt to purchase a book on Amazon leaves no alternative except to file a credit application for Amazon card until card application is rejected. Only then can you choose another payment option. The end result is a hard credit inquiry, reducing my fico score 10 points and credit going from good to fair. Very unfair practice to get customers to apply for credit!

Gift cards
When I purchase gift cards, use part of them, and they have a balance left on them, Amazon won't let me use the balance (yes-it's all for the same account). Do they think they deserve the money without a product?
Gift cards have been utilized for DECADES LITERALLY DECADES and these stupid people can't figure out how to allow customers to use ALL THE MONEY THEY ALREADY PAID?
Maybe if there was a customer service phone number like most businesses, a person could call and receive help trouble shooting and PEOPLE WOULD BUY MORE FROM AMAZON. Perhaps people also wouldn't be frustrated with wasting more time searching for a solution only to find the help page broken with a picture of a dog on it. Amazon doesn't care if people complain, nor do they want to hear the complaint, so they make it difficult to FILE a complaint!
ADDITIONALLY Amazon doesn't allow a consumer to remove their credit card information from their account. Oddly, they know when your credit card expires without your disclosure.
Desired outcome: Maybe you can email me the confirmation that my cards do indeed have a balance. My email is [protected]@gmail.com.Gift cards are generally easy to use. Putting some kind of information on the cryptic ways yours are used would be great.
