Flight was canceled but have not received refund for over 5 months.
Dear eDreams,
I have purchased a set of airlines tickets, PNR Ticket: 4THHLA ([protected]), Issued date: 13/03/2022. The date of the flight, NH7543 was canceled by the airlines was on April, 2022. I had tried to contact eDreams via phone & emails but found that all the eDreams phone number I can find online were not valid numbers, so I could not talk to anyone in eDreams. And all the emails (by replying to eDreams' email) were not answered by eDreams. From eDreams' website, by chatting the eDreams' bot, I learned that eDreams had sent in a refund request to ANA (the airlines) for me on May 4, 2022 and it would take about 30 days for me to get my money back, but now is at the end of October, no refund had been seen yet. When I called ANA, their agents told me that my tickets are still sit as open, that means the ticketing agency has not request the refund yet. Since the airlines had canceled the flight, I should get a full refund back to me soon. This is taking too long. Thanks.

Travel itinerary purchase
I purchased two tickets through eDreams to fly from Ankara to Boston via Frankfurt, Madrid, and Amsterdam. The price I paid was 503 sterling pounds. I took the first leg of my trip from Ankara to Istanbul. At Istanbul airport, I was denied boarding to my second leg (from Istanbul to Frankfurt) due to COVID-19 restrictions.. I headed back to Ankara and placed a request for refunding the unused portion of my itinerary. eDreams claimed then that my ticket was none refundable and that I lost the remainder of the money I paid. I explained to them that the change of my travel plans wasn't of my choice They insisted that a refund wouldn't be made.
After series of communications with eDreams and the two other airline companies, I realized that the airlines are teaming with eDreams to withhold my money as they refer me to each other each time I contact them in this regard.. eDreams tell me that it's the airline companies rules that prevent the refund, and the airline companies tell me that I should make all my communications with the travel agency that sold me the itinerary. I am - in short phrase - running back and forth between three players that are playing a game of con artists, and the are: KLM, IBERIA, and eDreams

I booked two segments of flight from Edreams. We live in an isolated post and have only two airlines that fly out of here and only fly to certain destinations which force us to book different flights from other airlines as our airport is small and is not an international airport.
The first segment was from Whitehorse to Vancouver return Nov 3-8 2022.

The second flight was Vancouver to Las Vegas and return Nov 3-8 2022.
Edreams informed us by email the next day that they could not honor the first part of the second segment and ask us to contact them.
I contacted them through their chat line and was informed that we would be given a refund in euros and we would have to use this other website which they own to rebook our flights. I then checked our mastercard and realizedthat we had been charged in euros instead of canadian funds. I informed them of this and they said I booked in euros even though my profile stated Cdn dollars.
We then proceeded to follow their instructions to contacted the airline and were told that we would have to cancel our flights to change them in order to find a connecting flight that would get us to Las Vegas at a reasonable time.
The airline stated that they would refund our flights but Edreams has the money and we would have to go through them as the airline does not receive payment until we board the plane.
Edreams stated the process to get a refund was to get a confirmation fromthe airline that the flights are cancelled and a refund would be offered and was provided with an email address to send to. Resonse came back saying that tickets were non refundable due to airline policy which was untrue because the airline was not in possession of the money.
The total charged was converted and was $921 Canadian but when using their sanme site for the same trip it was only $ 714 Canadian. this was pointed out to them.
I have all chats and emails. I have contacted them on Sept 8,9, 11, 14 and 27, and I have been emailing my RBC bank all of Oct. daily with no success.
Charging in a different currency anywhere would be fraud.
They started this issue by cancelling a portion of our trip. when ask to refund the rest they should have done that right away especially when they were notified that they had charged the customer in the wrong currency.
Because of their cancellation we were forced to cancel our first segment flight because the airline could not provide new flights until this was done in order to fill the portion (that they cancelled) to complete our trip.
This was done by them not being able to fulfill a portion of our flights and they charged us in the wrong currency which caused an overcharge
Desired outcome: We would like a full refund of our Whitehorse to Vancouver return flight that cost $921 Canadian.

I cannot contact dreams because I need a reference number in order to be granted the courtesy of talking to a live person. Unfortunately I had issues with my email provider for taking too much space and could not send or receive emails. The issue is fixed with my email provider. The purchase of the ticket was deducted from my bank account yet I have not received an email from dreams so I have no reference number and no way to contact them. That's some serious [censored]. Why is there no ability to talk to someone without a reference number. I'm left with having to go to my bank now to intervene. Smh.

Als wir am Freitag, 23. September, ca. 09:00 Uhr am Schalter von GOLDCAR waren sagte man mir, dass ich noch zusätzlich Euro 244,95 bezahlen müsse.
(Importe Neto Euro 202,44 + Base Imponible IVA 21%, Euro 42,51
= Total Euro 244,51)
Dazu kamen noch Euro 78,00 Deposito de Seguridad. Die Dame am Schalter sagte mir, dass das ein Depo, für eine Tankfüllung Benzin sei. Wenn ich aber das Auto bei der Rückgabe vollgetankt zurückbringe, werde der Betrag von Euro 78,00 wieder gutgeschrieben!
Zusammen wurden mir vor Ort Euro 322,95 von der Kreditkarte abgezogen.
Ich protestierte dagegen diesen Betrag zu zahlen, aber man antwortetet mir, wenn ich die Euro 322,95 nicht bezahlen würde, so werde mir kein Mietwagen zur Verfügung gestellt.
Ich habe die Frau am Schalter darauf hingewiesen, dass ich eine Schadenrückerstattungsversicherung abgeschlossen hätte, Online bei der Buchung.

Ich zeigte ihr das von mir ausgedruckte Dokument, leider sagte die Dame am Schalter, das interessiere sie nicht und ich müsse den Betrag von Euro 322,95 bezahlen sonst bekomme ich kein Auto.
Also hatte ich keine andere Wahl, als zu zahlen.
Als ich dann den Wagen abholte beim Ausgabe-Terminal war es dann ein Opel Corsa 1,2T Elegance 100cv.
Das war ja soweit gut.
Was ich dann aber feststellte, das Auto war total schmutzig, innen wie aussen. Das Auto wurde meiner Meinung nach nicht gereinigt vom vorhergehenden Kunden. Ich musste zuerst in eine Waschanlage um das Auto zu waschen und inne musste ich alles mit dem Staubsauger reinigen.
Am Rückgabetag habe ich dann um ca. 06.40 Uhr das Auto beim vorgesehenen Terminal abgestellt und den Schlüssel in den speziellen Schlüsseltresor eingeworfen, so wie abgemacht.
Was ich noch speziell erwähnen möchte, ich habe das Auto etwa 1,5 km vor dem Flughafen noch ganz aufgetankt. Der Benzintank war also komplett voll bei der Rückgabe!
Jetzt habe ich bei meinem Bank Kontoauszug festgestellt, dass mir auf meinem Konto der Betrag von Euro 78.00 für das Benzin gutgeschrieben wurden, aber der Rest Betrag von Euro 244,95 nicht zurückerstattet wurde.
Ich bin einfach der Meinung, dass das nicht gerechtfertigt ist, denn ich habe ja hier in der Schweiz bei der Buchung extra die oben erwähnte Schadenrückerstattungsversicherung abgeschlossen um zusätzliche Kosten zu vermeiden.
Nun wäre ich froh, wenn sie mir weiterhelfen könnten und mir erklären, ob das alles mit rechten Dingen zugegangen ist und für was ich denn die noch zusätzlichen Euro 244,95 bezahlen musste und für was ich denn die zusätzliche Schadenrückerstattungsversicherung abgeschlossen habe, wenn ich dann trotzden zuzahlen muss!
Ich wär Ihnen um eine baldige Antwort sehr dankbar.

When purchasing ticket to flight, I added the cancel anytime guarantee from eDreams. It sais in the terms that I can cancel up to a couple of days before the flight and get refund of 80% of the total flight cost.
terms specify:
"Refund is normally made within maximum 10 days from the cancellation date"
"regardless of the reasons. We do not require any justification or documents. "
terms does not specify i should wait for airline response
I have cancelled in 14th of july 2022, and they claim they are waiting for airline response, when in the terms it does not say anythnig about airline, the guarentee was bought from edreams and not from the airline. also the time which has passed is more the what terms specify.

I similarly did this, and their app still says my refund is being processed, and that my original flight is confirmed, but I also got an email from eDreams saying that they've approved a 50% refund of the price. I have not even received this amount refunded.
I had to go directly through the airline to confirm changes that I needed to make, which cost me additional money. I'm not exactly sure what eDreams is doing, but the 50% refund with a coverage package that ensured 100% up to 48 hours pre-flight is clearly unacceptable.
This company has a head office address in Barcelona, and I am tempted to go there and kick the door down.
No Invoice Provided
I've booked a round trip to Germany three days ago and in the same day I've requested for its invoice, as the website/app directs to do so.
Until now I've not received anything even though three days ago I was told I would be receiving my invoice in 24 hours.
I spoke to a support agent who besides not even being able to speak proper English told me I had never contacted them before regarding this (which I did, more than once) and that the invoice would be shared with me as soon as possible.
Now, as soon as possible doesn't qualify as a valid time period.
I've already contacted the airline but, as it would be expected, they informed me I need to request this from the dodgy and scammy company that goes by the name of eDreams.

there are 3 challenges,
1. no update on the refund even after 1 year of refund ticket

3. no proper escalation point shared by edreams so that i can talk to some supervisor or senior resource than the chat agents.

Refunds of cancellation of flights
I had purchased return airfares in March 17, 2022 for flights from Ottawa to Calgary and Calgary to Ottawa travelling in September 2022. On the flight day, my outbound flight from Ottawa to Calgary was delay by 11 hours, as per airline policy, I can chose to canceI my flight. I informed the airline that I would like to cancel my flight from Ottawa to Calgary and also the return flight from Calgary to Ottawa. The airline has since refunded my airfares to eDreams as eDreams was the 3rd party whom I booked the airfares with, and I have to contact eDreams to complete the refunds at their end. I have chatted and requested with 3 different agents concerning the refund of my airfares, and asked that the funds be credited back to my credit card as per indicated on eDreams refund policy (Be assured that once we receive the money back from the airline, we will transfer it back to the same payment method used in the original booking at the earliest). However, I got emails from eDreams asking me to complete my banking information in order to receive the refund. The agents said that is how eDreams process the refunds, if I don't complete the banking information, I will not get my money back.
I want to have my refund of $196.00 ($98 x2) Canadian for the 2 airline tickets credited back to my credit card!

I’ve had such a bad experience with eDreams. I purchased a flight ticket from chicago to Maryland and back to Chicago (reservation number [protected]). I called in to move both tickets one week up. I got charged the flight difference and a processing fee. Surprisingly the agent only changed one ticket (Chicago to Maryland) and my return ticket was in limbo. I had to purchase a return ticket from another airline back to Chicago. I called in sometime in July to request a refund. The refund was approved and I was told it would take about a month for the process to complete. I called in several times to check in and was informed I had to wait for the airline to make a refund. After a month of many phone calls I only got a refund of $65 (processing fee). The flight difference i paid (over $170+) I still had to wait for. Today I’ve been told by an eDreams agent that my refund was cancelled and no amount is due to me. Have I been conned? Has this happened to anyone here? I asked for a manager and they say they’ll have someone call me. How do I make sure I get my money back?

No mês de agosto de 2021 efetuei a compra da passagem de São Paulo (Brasil) até Yagon (Myanmar), e alguns dias após a compra, alguns percursos dessa passagem foram cancelados e após isso solicitei o reembolso à Edreams faltando 1 mês para o embarque. Após várias reclamações e mensagens dizendo para eu esperar, no dia 8 de Setembro de 2022 a Edreams me enviou o e-mail dizendo que a companhia Aérea Malaysia Airways e a LATAM airlines não fariam o reembolso pois alegavam que eu não tinha direito a essa opção. Sendo que no momento da compra eu comprei a Cancellation + Assistance insurance e também era cliente premium.
Após isso entrei em contato com a Edreams novamente querendo que eles fizessem uma nova consulta às companhias de passagem aéreas, e a Edreams disse que faria uma nova consulta às companhias aéreas e me responderia em 2 semanas, e até hoje não me responderam.

Refund Fraud; Delay Beyond 30 Days
I bought 'eDreams insurance' along with the ticket. I had to cancel my booking (Ref: [protected]) due to change of plans.
I canceled booking and applied for refund which, as per the policy, should have been received into my account in 30 days.
After 30 days not receiving anything, I called them twice and they lied. And they started the process from scratch.
It's utterly absurd how they play with their customers.

Illegal charge for edreams Prime subscription - not refund or authorised 54,99€
At the beginning of August 2022 I bought 3 flights frpom edreams with no problems. My Deutsche Bank Mastercard was charged.
Then a few days later I received an email telling me I had been automatically subscribed to a free month of edreams prime, the email did not have a return or reply address, it is marked "noreply". I did not asked for or accept the subscription. I called edreams clients services, and entered their chat system and told them I did not want any subscription.
On 15/08/2022 CARD-EDREAMS PRIME -54,99 appeared on my Mastercard statement. This is an illegal charge. I did not make any such purchase. I made a complaint and requested a refund. Edreams have replied saying they will refund the amount, but they have not done anything.
I have complained to the Spanish Guardia Civil and they say they have many such complaints against edreams for fraud.

Replacement ticket bought for a cancelled flight
I request a refund of POYSGW for 294.24€.
I had to buy these tickets because the leg KGS-ATH on the original ticket (KGS-ATH-DUB [protected] bought in March 2022) was cancelled by SKY EXPRESS. Not by me.
EDREAMS never help to get a replacement for KGS-ATH despite many requests.
So I bought a replacement, via EDREAMS.
Missing ATH_DUB consequences would have been many days stranded in KGS or ATH ( all flight full) and for you, massive cost for a replacement arrangement.
I bought from Edreams KGS-DUB via ATH. POYSGW for 294.24€.

I received an email and text message on 27/9/22 saying my flights to Munch and on to Hong Kong via Lufthansa were cancelled . I phoned the Prime hotline [protected] and was told an agent would get back to me in 72 hrs. No one spoke to me so I phoned again on Mon 3/10/22. I had already researched re booking costs for me and my wife and was quoted £6600 ( economy) . I have paid you £1984.69 for my booking on 12/3/22.
When I spoke to your agent on Monday 3/10/22 she confirmed the flights to Munich and Hong Kong were cancelled. I requested alternative to Hong Kong to transfer to the Hong Hong to Auckland as it was not cancelled. At no time did your agent offer an alternative flight. She said do you want to cancel I said yes .
There is no way I would have declined an alternative flight knowing the the cost of rebooking ( an extra £4700 approx). I presume your good practice is to record telephone conversations. On 5/10/22 when I complained to your agent they claimed I had only been awarded £383.54 compensation because I had declined an offer of alternative flights.
My wife Annette witnessed the conversation with your agent on 3/10/22 and confirmed no alternative flights were offered. As a matter of pure logic why on earth would I turn down an alternative flight offer knowing that to do so would cost an extra £4700.
On 5/10/22 your agent stated that the notes made by your agent on 3/10/22 states I turned down on offer of alternatives . This is simply not true . So please show me text message , email to me or telephone recording that shows an offer of alternative flights,
My claim is for the remainder of my booking with you on 12/3/22 confirmed by email at 10.51am of £1984.69 and on the remainder after deducting £383.54 that is :- £1601.15
I presume you will act in good faith and recognise that I am due a full refund due to your agent cancelling our flights from Manchester to Munich and Munich to Hong Kong. I am sure you understand through no fault of myself I now have to rebook my flights to Auckland and return.
One final point on Monday 3/10/22 I said we could travel on 19th or 21st or 22nd or 23rd of Dec your agent stated all these flights were full but they would check with the airline. I never heard anything back. Again check with your agent that I made this request ie notes or telephone recording.

Invoice not sent despite repeated attempts
To ask my company to pay for my most recent trip, I attempted to receive an invoice from eDreams. I repeatedly requested it through their website and app without success. Finally, after calling their customer support, I was informed that I would get my invoice within 72 hours. After far longer than those 72 hours, I still haven't received an invoice.
This level of customer disrespect and lack of professionalism is unacceptable in a company of this size. It simply shows that they don't care about their customers' satisfaction. I will never book a flight through them, and I will advise my friends and family to do the same. I sincerely hope that anyone who reads this complaint and is considering booking a flight will refrain from doing so.
