See attached 2000 words on previous statements I just sent? The item started on fire, black smoke and I could have lost everything I owned in this world!!! Because of cheap purchasing stores selling garage faulty products for profit... I took pictures and videos of faulty wires and where the flame burnt the light it self. I also have physical witnesses that...

I bought a cut of fabric and got it home to find that it was very crooked on the bolt and by the time I had it straight I was losing 5 inches. I went back to the store and they told me they couldn't do anything about it. It was no longer on sale and I ended up having to buy a whole new piece plus an extra 1/4 yard to make sure I had enough to account for...

I am an avid crafter. That being said the closest hobby lobby to me is about an hour away so I don't get to go there often. However 2 days a month I work in pensacola where it is. The store manager treats good employees like crap. He talks down to them and berates them on things that are not their fault. He just leaves when the regional manager is supposed to come the next day. He uses the phrase " does that make sense?" To make you sound stupid. He caused the last co manager to quit crying because of the way he yelled and treated...

I only worked for hobby lobby for one month. I really liked working there and Greg and ed are great . The cam (Sandra) was not very inviting to me when i started, she never smiled at me or said hello. The thing that stands out for me is how she treated me. Never said hello, never smiled, was always telling me what i did wrong. Are you aware that she was like this ! I also noticed how she treated the other cashiers she talked with them and smiled etc. I am saddened that i had to quite because of her. I know i give great customer service i have awards for excellent customer service. I would have been a great addition to your company. I wanted you to be aware of this and how can you employee such a person who does not make new employees welcome.
Rude csm
abusive customers and feeling helpless for someone to help me
I've been working at Hobby Lobby for almost nine years and recently things have been good for me but lately, now things have ether just fell off the wagon as a manner of speaking.
At my job on Tuesday, August 6th, Lake Jackson, Texas, I'm a stockman, everything was doing just fine till this rude male customer took his personal problems out on me. I'm Michael Phillips.
I went up to this male customer and I was asking him if these two unattended kids nearby were with him because I was trying to make sure we avoid a lost child situation that could possibly turn into a code Adam situation since where I work has the workers trained to handle a code Adam.
So I asked this man if those two kids were with him and he rudely told me "You see them with my wife, do you?" and I told him I didn't know he was married or with his wife as I didn't see his wife. I told him I was just looking out for all customers safety as it's our job but this male customer was starting to point the finger at me and he harshly told me "Stay out of this" and he called me a derogatory name or the "R" word if you know what that is. This guy was half my age I tried to tell him "I'm just making sure the kids stick with their parents, it's our job to look out for the customers" but he stopped me at mid sentence as he walked off by saying to me rudely "Whatever, I should punch you in the face, right now" he flipped me off as well.
This man, a middle aged adult, behaving to me, a worker, like this? That made me want to cry as I was on the verge of tears and a kindly female worker came to me and my co-worker asked me what that man said and my co-worker was shocked to know how that man treated me as she told me that customer has got to be the meanest person she ever seen and I agreed with her. Now I know we got to keep our customers happy so we can have successful and happy repeat business and no one gets fired. They say the customer is always right but in this case, it's proof that sometimes the customer is not always right.
This was happening to me when I had the last few minutes on my shift. And this man kept giving me dirty looks to shame me when he should be ashamed. He even followed me around and kept giving me dirty looks out of spite. That man not only hurt me for no reason but I got depression and type two bipolar and this man has no idea what I'm going through as my mom lost her job due to new owners taking over and business went south and my mom is looking for a new job while she's on unemployment and food stamps for now. And not one person has called to give my mom an interview yet. This man has no idea.
I really wanted to do something about him like ask him to leave if he's going to be so rude but since I'm not the boss and our main boss is out while the assistant boss and a third boss was there, I don't know if they would've asked this male customer to leave if he treated me this way or I don't know if anything could be done but I do know that even if action was taken, it doesn't always help anyone. But a full grown adult treating me this way? I don't believe this. What ever his problem is, it's not my fault. It's not my fault that he didn't want to go to this store when his wife forced him to go when he didn't want to go. I get bullied a lot through out my life and my dad and his side of the family were bullies towards me and my mom a lot. Than they wonder why my mom divorced my dad and I eventually moved in with my mom, just so we could get away from these people.
So I get bullied just for looking out for customers safety and for looking out for his kids in case of a code Adam? I'm tired of being bullied by people who take their personal problems out on me and I'm tired of them getting away with it. I now feel like I don't want to go to work because of the risk of customers bullying me. I want to talk to my boss about this, well, our main boss is out but we got the assistant boss and another co boss there but all I do know is that if I talk to my boss about this by tomorrow, there's nothing anyone can do about this because this guy got away with it.
It's not fair. I've talked to my bosses about people who did this to me before and they've admitted that I didn't deserve to be treated that way but those were more recent things when they sympathized with me like if it was something that happened a year ago or weeks ago as our current bosses seem to be showing they have hearts.
I hate my job and I feel like I can't defend myself just because the customer will want revenge and have me fired just for wanting respect and I deserve to be treated with kindness and respect. I feel like I can't go back to work due to being at risk of abuse by customers like that one guy. I'm tired of this. I give everyone respect, I treat everyone kindly, I help people and I look out for others safety and I get treated like dirt for it. I should get points for being nice and I'm tired of being nice to those who just take me for a ride to channel their anger on.
I'm not some personal punching bag for everyone to take their anger out on. I'm a human being with feelings here. I want to be treated kindly by both workers and customers, I don't want them taking their problems out on me. I know this place is a Christian based business but if a customer abuses me this way, than we should be given the power to ask them to leave if they're going to treat me and other workers like this. No one cares about me, the justice system doesn't care about me, no one will help me. I'm crying out for help but I never get anyone to help me at my job to protect me from such abuse, be it coming from a worker that we have trouble getting along with or if it's a rude customer that takes their personal problems out on me or any of the workers. I left work in tears, again. It's not fair. What I want now is to be able to make a customer leave if they so much as be this rude to me because I won't stand for this. Ether someone helps me or I have no choice but to get the attorney general and call them at their office. So ether people can deal with me and help me in this situation, or they can deal with the attorney general's office and have them to deal with. I really don't want to do this but I feel like I got no other choice because I'm being emotionally abused at my own job and I really need this job like my life depends on it.
Someone please help this poor guy.
extremely rude manager
Yesterday 7/19/19 I encountered the rudest customer service experience I've ever had in my life at Hobby Lobby off of Bell & 7th St. In Phoenix Arizona and with a manager by the name of Carla. I had been shopping for a while already when I was starting to locate my last few items that I needed assistance with. I asked a nice sales associate about getting a pack of the Copic markers for me. She stated she had to get the manager to access them. As I waited patiently for a managers assistance I started looking at epoxy resin near by as I had heard from an artist friend that hobby lobby carries their favorite kind. Then all of a sudden the manager approached me very quick and extremely rude while reaching into my cart and says, "is this ours, what is this?" Referring to some of the items I placed in my cart to purchase. (Mind you I'm standing in front of the cart with my hands on the rail.) I replied, no, those are the items I'm purchasing. I have them organized by sale categorie to make it easier. I've been shopping here for years and have always done it this way. Carla (the manager) then says even more rudely you need to lay everything out in your cart and proceeded to reach across me to expand the baby seat in the cart and says you can place everything out here instead... (First off I have a cart full of stuff what exactly should I be placing in the baby seat that would fit, and secondly when did rules develope on what's an appropriate way of loading up your own shopping cart?) I don't know about you but I prefer to keep like things together especially when purchasing several items as I find it just makes it easier on everyone. Carla never even asked me about the copic markers which was supposed to be the whole reason she came to "help" me. Instead she insulted me and was so rude she just made me want to leave right away and not even finish shopping.
As someone who also worked years of retail management I'm completely floored by how she treated me and the situation. I understand there's protocol but there's also something called manners, being polite and treating your customers with respect! When your job is customer service I would think making your customers want to leave instead of keep shopping is the worst thing you can possibly do! I ended up leaving right then, still spending $100 against my better judgement with all that happened but it would have easily been more like $200+ had I received the help I asked for instead of accusations and flat out rudeness! As a loyal customer of hobby lobby who's spent thousands of dollars for many years I'm sad to say this completely crossed a line for me.
I'm a practicing Christian, a cancer survivor and a very hard worker for the things I have. I'm honest, give back in my community and am dedicated to helping and supporting others. So to be treated like this over the way I arranged my cart is astonishing to me. I've shopped at Hobby Lobby for many years now and refer my business clients there all the time as well. Unfortunately after this horrific experience I can't continue to do so with a good conscience.
For a company that holds itself to a Christian standard I thought you'd appreciate knowing how your manager is treating a loyal customer. Absolutely unacceptable in my option, and nowhere near the Christian way of living through kindness.
During check out I mentioned to the cashier Erik the situation. Asked if there was another manager on duty as well as I was appalled by my experience with Carla. Erik was very kind and helpful stating the best way to handle it is writing a complaint so it goes to corporate. I was also informed the store was understaffed and maybe that had something to do with it... Honestly, that's even worse. Trying to give an excuse instead of admitting you were wrong and apologizing. If I were the manager in that situation I would have done everything in my power to make it right because aren't the customers suppose to be top priority?!? Bottomline without customers there is no retail business so instead of acting like helping me is an issue she could have potentially met her hourly goal just by my purchases alone.
Please feel free to reach out to me with questions or if you'd like additonal information. I appreciate your time and help with this matter. I know if one of my employees, especially a manager was treating a loyal customer this way I'd want to know right away.
Thank you,

I've also reached out to Hobby Lobby customer service. They responded back saying in short, "Sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciate you as a loyal customer and hope your next time shopping with us is better."
Um, really that's all you got!?! Are you kidding me?!? Considering the situation I think a better apology was in order and if they think I'm shopping there again after all this they must be crazy. So many better ways this could have gone down in my opinion and honestly this just confirmed that Hobby Lobby really doesn't care about their customers or my horrible experience. Which I hate to say because I really thought more of them until now, but unfortunately for them facts are facts and they really messed up in my eyes. Sorry Hobby Lobby but I won't be supporting you anymore. I'd rather take my hard earned money and spend it where I'm truly appreciated.
refused a return of cricut
We purchased the product at a Hobby Lobby in Rockwall, TX. We did take the product out of the box, set on a table, tried to do a computer setup. After hours of trying we gave up. The product has not been used but, yes, it was taken out of the box. Nothing more. Hobby Lobby refuses to take it back and only says "it's company's policy not to take returns". We were not informed about this "policy", more than that, on the back of the receipt it clearly states returns accepted within 90 days with the original receipt. Don't shop at HL unless you are willing to keep products that do not work for you!
no discount on flower purchase
On 6/28/19 at 3:14 pm my daughter and I went to Hobby Lobby to purchase wedding flowers. I saw an ad online that said flowers 50% Off We spent $387.71 on flowers that day. We went home and used the flowers for wedding arrangements but ran out. My daughter decided to check online instead of running back to the store again as we live 1 hour away. She ordered...

I am an online seller on etsy.com. I have had over 700 sales this year with 4, 500 inception to date. I get a huge amount of my supplies at Hobby Lobby. The check out process with people manually entering prices and then searching for a discount is antiquated and does not provide the best customer service. I personally have been charged incorrectly hundreds of times! People are not accurate when manually entering prices and then remembering 100s of sale items. I have asked the clerks why they do not have a bar code scanning system. They all usually tell me it is because our founder wants to us to interact with the customer. Interact with the customer? The clerks are so consumed by prices and sales they cannot talk to me. If they were mindlessly scanning away like other stores, we could interact and I could feel the utmost customer service. This is a store with Christian values and I appreciate that. I do not feel that Christian values are the prime focus because I am being over charged and you are keeping my money!

Hello. This is a long time issue, however in the past month it has become worse. Providing a working schedule, which includes not only the time of day, but also the days you will work, with 3 days of notice is not acceptable. This is not employee friendly at all and everyone has a life which needs planning. Time off for vacations, children, parents, school, health care, etc. 3 weeks minimum is expected and very doable.
There are MANY automated software scheduleing tools available to use and it is past time that this company recognizes a fundamental employee need to fix this issue. It costs nothing to invest compared to the return you would receive. Would you work for a company that did this to you? Yes, I am talking to the leaders of this company and asking you to make a change. This is not a ‘how much do you pay' issue. This is a core expectation of leadership to care for their hard working employees.

christmas merchandise before schools are out for the summer
It seems like Christmas merchandise goes onto your shelves earlier and earlier every year. But this year really beats all. June 6, the kids aren't even out of school for the year and your employees in Illinois are stocking Christmas merchandise? It's VERY unappealing. And potentially enough to make me stop shopping your stores. Not that my one little voice makes any difference, but I know there are others who feel the same way.
Putting Christmas stuff out now really detracts from the specialness of the Christmas season, let alone drowning out all of the other holidays you're selling supplies for. If you plan to continue with this distasteful trend, maybe you should consider renaming to "Holiday Lobby." Because that's a much more accurate representation of your store at this moment.
I completely agree. I went to Hobby Lobby on the first day of summer this year only to find Christmas items already going up. People are still trying to enjoy the summer, gardening and having cookouts or bonfires. But your Christmas items are pushing out any of the garden decorations or other outdoor items that they might like to have purchased. Last minute decision to throw an end of summer pool party or cookout? Great idea! Pick up decorations and things from Hobby Lobby? Nope, better shop someplace else, all of their items have already been replaced with Christmas. People used to complain about Christmas appearing in stores before Thanksgiving. Then it was Halloween. Now? You brought out Christmas before the Fourth of July! It is absolutely ridiculous how early it appears in your stores. Once Christmas decorations go up in a store, my husband refuses to shop that store until at least November so as not to have to look at it. Guess we won't be going to Hobby Lobby for a few months.
bathroom and lack of a proper handicap stall
I have a knee injury and used the handicap stall at the Hobby Lobby store on Wade Hampton in Greer SC. There are to hand rails improperly placed. They were no help at all. If I were a giant maybe. This issue needs to be fixed. There is one rail behind you and one across the stall. Both rails were unreachable. I can't believe they passed building code.
customer service
On 5/18/19 it took 5 phone calls to get an answer on what type of slot cars the store carries . I finally asked for the store manager and he told me the store doesn't carry them any more ! When I know that they do ! Terrible customer assistance! This was at the Totowa N.J. Store . I am in the retail business also and have never treated a customer with such disrespect. I believe your store managers name was Mike . Thank you for your time, Dawn Hess
your fire extinguisher in your chino hills store
June 2018, I was shopping for my husband Fire Dept. retirement party and was in line to pay, I saw a item I wanted to purchase for my grand baby that was with me. I bent over to get it and your fire extinguisher was on a hook not secured. It was probable 50, 60 lbs. When I stood up it feel on my lower back than on to the back of my leg. I was in tremendous pain. No one came to my aide and I had to ask for help... the manager got me ice which was melted and a chair to sit on. She had me feel out a claim form and someone contacted me and said if I needed anything to call. He also, sent me a letter, I had to go to urgent care and to the doctors. I called back and left a message. Not once have I heard back from anyone in your claims dept. The number that was on the letter is not a good number. I have pictures and all my medical bills for my X-rays and Mri... I feel completely ignored. Thank God nothing was broken or torn but I'm left with a huge scar on the back of my leg. Please someone respond... Toni Morales, Chino Hills [protected] [protected]@yahoo.com
