We bought our DVD Player/Recorder RH387-M in October last year(2008). At first everything was working fine, but after 2 months we started to get some problems; the DVD player would not read anymore discs. We called the company about this, and they sent us an email about not being able to qualify for their services despite saying on the phone that this is a very common problem with this specific model.
So for two months we were able to record onto dvd's, but little did we know that these dvds would not be readable for any other type of dvd player, we tried at least 4 different brands.
Now, not even 1 year after buying the product, all the functions are off and the DVD, for almost $300, is garbage.
Never buy any products from LG - Life is Good only for LG and not for their customers.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have 29 LG TV, was faulty since three months, I called service support hundred times till now no action .
I am living in Egypt, I will ask every body to avoid LG products.

I bought a refrigerator LG brand on 6th of oct.2012, from Standard electric company Trichy.After about 15 days it stopped working.No cooling.Called up the stores from where we got the fridge.They gave contact number to LG toll free number1800 180 9999.they gave this number RNA121027083722.They said authorised LG service centre people will attend.Afterwards problem started--now human problem.clubbed with irritation that brand new fridge suddenly stopped working, calling these service guys every now and then to ensure they arrive home when there is no power cut to help me out of this problem was a menace.The people working in service finally came home on the 4th day evening 3.30pm told that oil has clogged up somewhere in the tube.someone else will come some day later with equipment, it might take a minimum of 2 hours work.Puzzled i called up centre when the immediate boss tells me that another guy will be there to attend in 2 or 3 days.i felt it was hell.called LG office in Delhi after 10 minutes she says gas has to refilled! in a brand new fridge?the service person meanwhile treats me as if i am uneducated ### and even asks me to speak decently!he was ### sure it was nobody;s fault and the shop wont replace it also though only 15 days passed and it is in warranty period.God save us consumers from the anarchy of service people.isn't it an irony they call themselves service engineers.

I agree, ... I have bought a LG Refrigerator (GR-M602YVQ) two years ago. The documents or the attached warranty mentioned it is covered for five years. Currently, the door of the refrigerator is not closing properly. I have contacted the customer service to investigate, they mentioned (without a professional inspection) that the door is not covered by the warranty!. Obviously the customer service is denying customer rights and escaping their duties. Of course not adequate ater-sales service may hurt the company's reputation. What should I do to protect and claim my rights as a customer.
The crisper drawers are freezing. We have had to throw away a lot of food due to this. This is the second major problem we have had with this ver expensive refrigerator. The first one was that the light would not shut off. That was eventually fixed. I would never buy an LG appliance again.

Ok. French door frig. I remodeled my kitchen and designed around an upcoming purchase of all LG products- top of the LG line- French door frig- microwave- electric range- dishwasher- washer - and dryer. Dishwasher broke- it was melting the rubber sealing - leaking-- After 6 visits I gave up and threw it in a trash dumpster and bought another brand. Micro-wave stopped working. Replaced the computer board 4 tines and then was told they did not make parts anymore and offered a settlement of $300 on what originally cost $1, 200 and was 2 years old with an extended warranty from Home Depot. I purchased another brand. Now refrigrator stopes cooling. After 4 trips by LG technicians and parts shipped 3 times, I was told they did not make the parts anymore and offered me a settlement of $800 on what cost $3, 800 four years ago. Warranty states 7 years on closed system compressor. No help from LG or the extended warranty with Home Depot. Washer needed 4 seals repaired and took six weeks to get that done. Electric range dining ok, but I am holding my breath. I assuming if one buys ANY appliance from LG paying for the top of their line, you can only use them for 3-4 years and then they cannot be repaired and deemed unusable! No parts! Parts not made to repair the product. I spent around $10, 000.00 for new appliances -LG- and three years later they are unusable and heading to the trash dump. Consumer relations witb LG are poor at the least. We got your money- you got screwed! Also he very aware of Home Depot, their appliances support, and extended warranties! Another screw job. Well, live and learn.

MOdel LFD21860 bottom drawer freezer two door refrigerator. Glide 'N Serve drawer top plastic cover sags, prevents flipper top from closing properly. Two Crisper Drawers are mounted on a design flawed plastic panel which breaks too easily. We have replaced these parts two times. They won't replace them free of charge at at. Although we've had our fridge for 5 years, when you purchase parts that break in the same places on two occasions there is a problem with the design. It turns out LG has had to redesign some of these parts on their products. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DESIGNED PROPERLY FROM THE BEGINNING. They do not stand behind their products as they should. I called four times and got terminal HOLD. In conclusion, they will not do anything to help me. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT, PERIOD. I would also suggest you look elsewhere for a better made product and company! We purchased parts TWO TIMES AND THESE SAME PARTS KEEP BREAKING!
Disappointed in the manner in the way they tell you they have put a product on hold, get your credit card details, and they just go ahead and process an order without me even signing anything. Harvey Norman Burleigh - This is Fraud, Not happy at all, I want everyone to know that this has happen to me just yesterday, and was told lies by Initial Salesperson - Singh that he was only taking my credit card details to hold the order and all I had to do was quote the invoice no when coming in the authorise sign and it will be processed, well Singh you didn't just put on hold Mate you processed it and I didn't authorise this to happen. I phoned to talk to you this morning to tell you to take of hold and was told by Salesman Dirk that's it was no problem and that product on hold would be cancelled. I then phoned again during the day to check with the Accounts staff if I needed to do anything else, and was told no because nothing had been processed, so my credit card had been used for any payment etc. However went to use my card this evening and was declined as the was Insufficient Funds available, on phone credit card company they advised that there had been an unauthorised payment made from Harvey Norman Burleigh Heads and that they couldn't do anything about this until you contacted which I was a by now pissed off, as three staff members had lied to me and commitment fraud. LG is the WORST company for electronics. They lie about their product specs on their website. I recently bought an LG Blu ray that claimed to play a multitude of media files, including MP4. The playback on MP4 was so terrible it was unwatchable. I did some online research and found many similar complaints. When I complained to them by email they responded that I shouldn't take it back because I wouldn't get a refund. I did get my refund and I will NEVER buy an LG product again. I will also never recommend them. They're the worst kind of people.

That's true. I bought LG TV 32LN5650 worth Rs.37000 INR four days back from a reputed showroom. I purchased window 1.50 T A/c in New Delhi on 1 May 2014. I made a request for servicing the same on 17-4-14 vide RNA [protected] & made a call on 18-5-14 followed by various calls on 19th and 20 th 2014. The moment I told them that I am going to make a complaint in public domain, without my concurrence they closed the complaint on their own by sending nasty message like door closed, no response, customer self repair etc. The person at customer care gave the mobile no of Mr Hemanshu who is not reachable. This man never bothered to reply any one of the three messages sent to him. My humble advise is NEVER BUY LG Products or else face after sale service problem like me

Tech has put two new ice makers and still the same problem where the ice cube tray is low on the left side, where the water fill tube is, so when the tray is filling with water, the water spills out of the tray onto the side wall of the freezer compartment and down onto food items. I Bought a 3D LG Projector about a month ago from Makro in Port Elizabeth. We also bought the glasses and 2 3D movies. I tried to install the Projector at home, but the 3D side of it doesn't want to work. I've called LG customer services several times, but nobody can give me any information of how to get this fixed. Everytime they tell me they will find out and call me back and after a week when I call again they still do not have any answers. I bought this device to watch 3D movies, what am I supposed to do to get someone to assist me?
LG has the worst appliances. I have purchased Refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, oven, washer and dryer after Sandy. So first. off ..the over the range Microwave was DEAD on arrival and had to be replaced after the LG technician spent over 2hrs trying to fix it even though i told them that i wanteda brand new one since it was dead in the box. Now the replacement microwave has died after 18months the circuit board went and LG has had me jump through hoops to get them paperwork of purchase only to tell me that its out of warranty. 2nd issue is that my refrigerator was leaking water and ice melting after 3 months of use- only to find out that there was a factory issue and they honored that and fixed it. 3rd issue was the dishwasher started to leak after 13 monthsofuse...it appears that the rubber gasket moves and that cost me $100 service fee because it happened on month 13 of ownership. So far I have 3 appliances out of 6 that (knock on wood) have not had a problem... so with 50% having issues - I highly recommend NOT buying LG appliances !
Life is not at all good with LG AC's . They do not provide after sales service.
I have a LG washing machine purchased in 2012. There is water building up in the area that the bleach goes. I try to clean it out and it comes back after every wash. It is stagnant and smells like sewage. I contacted LG for advise and was told to do a tub clean cycle and to wipe it down. I have done this already. Obviously there is a manufacturing defect. The did not offer any free service to fix the problem. This is horrible for a machine that was roughly $1000. My laundry room is son the second floor near the bedrooms and there is a nasty sewage smell from the machine. There really needs to be a recall for the problem but the company really doesn't want to do anything to help with the problem.
I also purchased an LG Washing Machine at Best Buy and within five months, the washing machine started pouring water from the soap dispenser. LG's customer service is in the Phillipines, therefore, their appointments for service are usually based on a contractual service that may not service your area. It took over one month after four service appointments and our home flooding from the 2nd floor to the first for LG to finally request Best buy to issue a credit. It took multiple telephone calls and persistence on my part. Best Buy instead gave me store credit instead of issuing a refund back to my credit card. I would not recommend LG or Best buy for any major appliance purchase.
