YES! Communities Yes Communities is a SCAM!!!!!

I moved in a mobile home on a lot in South Carolina in 2022 owned by Yes Communities and it sucks! The lot floods and damages the floors on the inside of home. There is big water bugs that come in home .AC coils have 3yrs of damages. I tried to get out of the deal two weeks after I signed with them and the man who sold me the home said i could not! i have been fighting this company ever since. The repair person informed me that he told management home was not ready to sell and they sold it anyways! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE .Even neighbors do not have respect for your property or your privacy. abandoned cats everywhere damaging your home and lot!

Recommendation: DO NOT MOVE IN

YES! Communities Absolutely disgusting!

I signed the lease and paid the deposit and rent. Within a few weeks we were noticing roaches everywhere. I immediately rented a uhaul and got my kids in a hotel. I attempted to bomb the house twice, using enough bombs for a house 4 times it's size! And yet they were still there. The bottom of the mobile home was infested with them. No one will return a email or phone call.

Desired outcome: My deposit and first month's rent back.

Recommendation: RUN!!!

YES! Communities Horrible company and product

This community is a joke. I wish I never purchased a home here. It’s quite actually a scam. Sold my home to me before it was ready (no air conditioning unit), forced myself and my family to live in a home with no ac through August. Never painted or sealed our porches so they’re falling apart and molding. Never leveled our home, caused damage. Didn’t fit or repair pipes under the sink, which caused them to disconnect on several occasions, leading to water damage. The electrical work is horrible, currently the lights in my hallway and back porch don’t work. My thermostat I purchased with the home broke and they replaced it with a lesser quality thermostat. They’ve cut water off and on for hours at a time over the past month to replace faulty pipes. Sounds great, but it was so they can install new meters in order to charge more for water. Today 8/29/23 water was cut off with a 30 minute notice through email. The email stated it would be off for 4 hours. The email was sent at 11:15am. Water did not cut back on until 5:30pm. No further emails were sent out. When it did finally come back on, it was not drinkable. Yellow/brown in color with a horrible smell. I let it run for about 10 minutes. Still, it was the same. I called the office to tell them and their response was “our water in the office is fine and it’s the same.” I don’t really know how people can work for this company and knowingly take advantage of people day in and day out in numerous ways. Not to mention, every year I have lived here, they have raised rent. They offer amenities but currently they are not available because they refuse to maintain them I suppose. If I had someone to provide legal advice and support, I’d pay any amount of money to get out of this community and property. Please, I beg anyone who reads this… do not move here or to any yes community. It will be the largest mistake and money drain of your life. If you were wondering if these issues were fixed. The answer is no. Despite phone calls, voicemails and emails to every corporate number I could find.

Recommendation: Stay far away from any yes community

YES! Communities back ground check

My boyfriend lived in a different trailer in the exact same park.

not six months ago he did a background check to move in.

then he is now moving into my trailer and they claim they need a second background check. if he doesnt they threatened me with eviction due to a non okayed occupant.

he wasn't even there a year.

I have lived in this park for seven years and never once forced to redo my background check.

when we questioned them, the response was its required per site.

and "we don't know if anything has changed or not"

no you don't and you also don't know if any of your residents have become felons either. because they didn't move from one site to another.

if he was a felon we wouldn't have even told you he moved to my trailer.

but we do the right thing to tell you he is moving to my site and then we get penalized for it.

This amongst MANY other complaints I have. This is the most immediate complaint.

YES! Communities Ethics and discrimination about sexuality

My partner and I are looking for a new place to live here in El Paso Texas and his mom suggested that we look at the Mission Estates. We were shown two different units and informed as to what the prices were... submitted documents and paid the $90 application fee since both of us are paying for it. I received a call this morning saying that I was denied because of my credit score... didn't mention anything about my partner's information until he looked at his report which he had no inquiries and neither do I. Since I can't find any evidence of my report being looked at or his our understanding of this is based we upon the fact that we would be living there, 2 black gay men in a community that seems to have issues with people who live a different lifestyle.

Desired outcome: Please send a copy of the credit reports for both of us otherwise we request a refund of $40 for the second person who's status was never mentioned nor was he even notified about this decision at all.

YES! Communities Water meter

My mother has been paying extra more money for false water/sewer meter measurements. Water meter has been under several inches of dirt with small roots for months. If maintenance has to check for water usage how do they read the meter if they don’t clean it? Do they guess? Only 2 people live in the household. Have complained to office. Problem has been fixed by management but that’s not the issue. Maintenance is. Sometimes management is nice or other times they are not very rude. Please send someone to look out for the neighborhood because am sure there are more complaints out there. Management use to be very helpful in the past with other managers/staff/maintenance.

Desired outcome: For maintenance do a better job and reading water meters and paying more attention to their job.

YES! Communities Loud motorcycles, dirt bikes and four wheelers.

there is an on going problem with dirt bikes and four wheelers speeding in the park. there is also a Harley motor cycle with drag pipes that are very load that are very load that races thru the park. this usually happens in the late afternoon or early evening. I have talked to the individual about the load noise and the speeding. Its in the park rules and regulatoins that four wheelers and dirt bikes are not allowed on the streets of the park. There is a 15 mph speed limit witch is ignored. The individual says the noise ordinance is 10 o'clock pm and they have a right tell that time to be on the street with their load bikes. When I bought my mobile home over 6 years ago it was a quiet area. now I have 2 residents on my street with load bikes. I have complain to the office about it but they or either unable or unwilling to to take it seriously, Thank you!

Desired outcome: park rules are enforced regarding dirt bikes ,four wheelers and set limits on noise levels.

YES! Communities Manager Paul

Ok so on 10/3 I had a paper taped to my door dated the 2nd. It's a 5 day or quit. Three times in 5 months after I have a complaint community guidelines change. I have asked for the ground keeper to stop mowing my lawn 2 to 3 xs a month. They have put holes in my skirting. The house is splitting because they didn't remove the roots of the tree that was grinded down before I moved in. Now the 1st was on a Sunday. I got paid yesterday but I still got a notice for a 5 day or quit. I have been trying to figure out what lawyers to use concerning this matter. I have been targeted for unknown reasons. I am a single mom who can't keep a lawnmower on my porch without getting a notice. My rent has been over 600 every month I've been here after the promotional event I moved in on. I don't appreciate the fact that he can change the guidelines for his personal reasons. I don't like ur community and had I read the reviews id not have moved in because of the way they treat ppl.

Desired outcome: Stop over charging my rent get a new manager

YES! Communities Lot 164 at independence station. Personal property damage

Lot 164 is eroding to the point of damaging my residence. I have made on several occasions to talk to management over the last almost 3 years. With no positive information. Just the always don't have in budget or past management has mishandled money. The park did start to work on it only to never complete the project. The original problem has never been resolved.office management has also explained to me that corporate office does not deal with residence. So that being said. Does it take a lawsuit to get someone's attention. I've tried many times to get a response back from local area corporate officers I'm always kicked to curb. There has been very little to no communication from management.

YES! Communities Security deposit

I 3/26/2023 we notified the Site manager that we had vacated the property at McConnell Crossing in NC, Lot #285. We were sent a letter on Feb15th, that our lease was up and the rent would increase by $50 and new paperwork would be sent. On Feb. 28th of Feb we were giving another letter saying our lease would not be renewed and we had 60 days to vacate. The letter stated that if we wanted to purchase the trailer we could stay.

I emailed the corp office and never heard back. We have not received our security deposit nor did we receive an accounting of the security deposit within the first 30 days as required by North Carolina law. I would like to receive my security deposit back in full.

Desired outcome: As per North Carolina law we would like the full security deposit back as the 30 day time frame has lapsed.
