mto workers rude
The two lady's working in the mto department were rude and in no hurry to help anyone. There was a line of 5 ppl waiting for food the orders were red on the screen and there was no one else in the store. My number was never called. I just walked up cause I could see it was mine I had a salad and a frozen latte. They never even looked at me just said is the salad that goes with this And the one said yep. I said umm thanks and the one said ya welcome. I told the cashier that the Mto lady's need a better attitude. Now the salad is made great but my 20 oz frozen latte is basically milk and foam. With a Tiny bit of ice. The cashiers were very sweet and nice
car wash
My husband bought me a getgo gift card last year. In the past couple of weeks i have gone to 3 different getgo car washes and received totally different results. Both cranberry twp 16066 i will show you pictures of right after the wash. The one in Wexford 15090 they prewash your car with a wand with wonderful results. The larger 16066 one has a guy standing there but doing nothing. And the smaller 16066 has only sprays but no brushes or cloth. Why should i pay the same price for such different results.
ge pharmacy's my meds. program
I was waiting for my call from the pharmacy telling me my husband's meds. was ready for pick-up but no call came so I called them and was told that program has ended. I was told that someone was to call and tell me that program ended but I never received a call. I'm very upset because I wasn't informed, is this how you do business when someone life depends on their meds.?
cashing western union money orders
I think its dumb as hell that you can get a money order via western union at a giant eagle store but you cant bring in a western union money order thats made out to you from somewhere else and cash it there at giant eagle.. My dad sent me a money order without the stub attached in the mail and when I went to cash it at a g. E. Store I was told I couldnt because it didnt have the stub with it and it has to be from their store... First of all wth do you need the stub for? I dont need it, its made out to me so wth is the problem... Idk giant eagle please change that [censor] policy if someone wants to cash their money order regardless where it came from, just cash the damn thing! [censor]
customer service
I was in the store to use their money transfer department but there was a handwritten sign that said they'll be back in 15 minutes. The time past so I decided to ask for a manager regarding the fact that they had no one running their desk during regular business hours. He said the Customer service rep was on a break so I replied that during this time you should have a temporary replacement. He assisting manager became very defensive and loud with me when I told him that I would follow up with this he said he didn't care and that I should go right ahead.
get go made to order food
Doesn't matter what time I go to the Cuyahoga falls ohio, state rd location. Nobody ever there to make food. The last 5 times I've been there, there's a sign on the screen that reads "kitchen closed". I used to get food here all the time and now the last 2 months, nobody there from midnight-5a.m. clearly no management present or they are just doing a [censor] job. The Macedonia location isn't like this at all. Hopefully tomorrow when I stop for gas, there is actually someone working.
filling a prescription
Mark the pharmacist, could not fill my prescription two days early because that was "his rule" when this was between me and my doctor. My doctor and my insurance company approved this prescription to be filled early and there is no reason why he should say no! To make matters worse they said to come back in an hour and when i came back this is when they told me this information! They could not call me? I am a veteran in severe pain and was waiting for my medicine to be filled! I had to go across town to another Giant Eagle to get proper service! Geneva Giant Eagle is way better at giving their customers the respect they deserve! I really want to know why this guy can make a decision like this? And my lawyer would like an answer because i feel like i am being singled out and harassed and this is not the first time that i have had problems up there.
If the prescription was for a controlled substance, then the pharmacist is allowed to do that. They can require that you wait until the absolute last day or can even refuse to fill the prescription at their location. My mother has experienced this at multiple pharmacies with multiple pharmacists (there is not a Giant Eagle where she lives which shows that it is not limited to their store).
restrooms and outside trash
I was in on Nov. 24th at 10pm and there was pee all over the first 2 stalls. The floors were sticky. Just looked horrible. Every single trash can outside was over flowing and trash blowing everywhere. I understand it may get busy, but there was 2 employees and a crew lead and a cook. No reason why that store should look that way. Heather was the lady I spoke with and didn't seem concerned with the issues.
bathrooms/ customer service
As a prior employee of Giant Eagle for 3 years, I am well aware of policy and standards for this company. My experience at the Richeyville, PA gas station was by far the most embarrassing. The restrooms were not sanitary. I understand it gets busy in the workplace, but the floor where the toilet sits was covered in something that smelled of sewage. The cashiers working the night shift of 11/19/17, were not professional by any means. I understand you have to have fun while working, but a gas station full of impatient customers and the two cashiers constantly spanking each other was not what we want to see. Once I'm to the register, I swipe my debit card, but we all know that the new chip cards that you have to insert. I understand that sometimes we are still so used to swiping we forget to insert for chip . The cashier repeatedly says to me CHIP, CHIP, CHIP, CHIP, irritated. I finally so okay okay! Thank you and she continues to say Chip, chip. It sounds so childish but, to have an employee of GE, a great company, leave an image like that on just one customer, it could be happening to all of them. I apologize for even complaining, I have never had any bad experiences with GetGo just this one was not a good one.
mto food
At 247 am. I placed an order on 11/19/17. It took over 20 mins to get my food because they skipped over my order. Than I get it home and it's a biscuit and not an egg muffin. I still have my receipt that shows I order a muffin. And I took pics of the biscuit. I need a refund or coupons. I waited 30 minutes. And still got the wrong food. I eat here all the time and got treated like I didn't exist and they just threw anything together. The sandwhich was just thrown together when I eventually got it. Couldnt even eat it because I can't eat biscuits
lack of customer service
I am a frequent customer, mostly during weekly mornings, at the Get Go in Ravenna, Ohio, on the corner of State Route 59 & State Route 14. Many times there is only 1 cashier working the check out and around 9 times out of 10 it is Vanessa. She RARELY smiles, isn't very pleasant when she does speak and if she didn't HAVE to speak to you I really don't think she would. Is someone you want to represent your company and store? I would never want an unpleasant person be the person who has to constantly interact with your customers. She shouldn't be someone who a customer has to deal with at all unless she learns to be more pleasant and better at customer service! I work in customer service every single day and it helps tremendously to SMILE and let the smile be heard in your voice as well as seen on your face!
clearance rack scam.
In Nov9, 2017; I went shopping at giant eagle and went to the clearance section. There were plenty of chocolates on clearance with signs pointing to the CLEARENCE. I took 2 bags; at the self check it wouldn't go. it would scan regular price as $8, $9 and $13. when I contacted one of the costumer services she was very rude and unprofessional and said well I can't/ won't change the price- even after I told her its clearance go check she didn't and she just grabbed them and left. after contacting the manager and show him the pictures he promised to fix the issue but my items were gone I have to bring them again and also I had to leave the store to pick up someone. I demand an answer for this scam and for wasting my time going back and forth and for taking a trip to this giant eagle driving back and forth.
Note: before I took the chocolate to buy I asked an employee who was there at that section and he said yes since its here then it is clearance- he didn't say anything else; was it intentionally!

I love Giant Eagle it is my favorite place to shop for groceries and such.
A the two Giant Eagle stores I visit frequently the smaller doors at one end close to the bank office and the Pharmacy were used regularly by young and old alike many of the older patrons who are simply tired or have sore joints like me used this entrance to more quickly access the Pharmacy and the Huntington bank.
Often even though I used the small doors for convenience I would still end up shopping all over the store.
Two or so years ago the decision was made by someone or group of someone's who do not work in the store locations to close and lock these extra convenience smaller doors sighting 10's of thousands of dollars of losses from thieves leaving the store through these doors without paying for their goods. I understand the problem, but reducing service to loyal customers is NOT the answer. Now with the locked convenience doors there are times I choose NOT to enter the store to do my banking or get my prescriptions, which in the past usually resulted in other purchases (anything that may be found on that end of the store).
My suggestion would be to hire min wage disabled or veteran door monitors for the convenience doors for at least the daylight/ prime time hours. People who like Walmart and Sam's club simply check to see a receipt .
Beyond checking for a receipt these people can provide good will simple "hello's" "can I direct you" any manner of things that make customers feel warm and fuzzy while also accessing your stores as conveniently as possible.
I believe the cost of these monitors would be outweighed by added sales from the good will and convenience provided.
On another note. Please consider creating specific spots, , a few in every store to place "courtesy shopping carts" That is empty shopping carts for when a customer imagines only picking up a few items and ends up with arms full, limited though because going all the way out front to get a cart is just too much trouble or takes too long. I can not tell you how many times I have decide NOT to buy more because I had no cart.
For both of both of these suggestions to be implemented, I will be holding my breath.
car wash
When I went to fill my tank, I was prompted to receive a discount on my fuel by purchasing a car wash. So I did. When I got the car washed, I went to dry it off thoroughly and noticed that it was still very dirty. My chamois was black from wiping my vehicle down. And there were marks from my wiping it that wouldn't come off. I am extremely disappointed with this outcome. I will never purchase a car wash from get go again. I'm afraid that the marks on my vehicle won't come off and I won't know until I take it to a detailer.

Hello, my family has shopped at giant eagle for ages. We also use your pharmacy. Today, my husband went to pick up his injectable medication. He has also purchased syringes as since it is an I jectable, he needs those also.
Today, the pharmacist working refused to sell the, actually giving him a very hard time. It was a very professional Interaction and I'm highly upset and dissatisfied.
Why aren't all the pharmacists trained on the law that was passed in 2009 regarsing Syringes? Why is giant eagle pharmacies always inconsistent, leaving the consumer of your service never knowing what to expect? And why is giant eagle ok with this business practice?
This is completely uncalled for, we did not deserve this treatment.
the quality of the bags

This is a general complaint and not aimed at one particular store or another. I can say that I have had mostly positive experiences shopping at the Giant Eagles (there are 3 ) that are close to my home. Each is clear, the staff is friendly, and I have never had an issue with a particular product they stock. My complaint is about the bags.
The bags that are given are sub-par and rip way too easily. I know people are assuming that I am overloading or not correctly bagging my groceries but I can assure you that within the past 3 trips to Giant Eagle I have had bags break with the bare minim of products inside.
I had one bottle of Chai in a bag and it ripped and rolled down the stairs. It was the only item. I have also had cat food cans spill out of a tear that happens when more than five cans are in a bag.
This wasn't always an issue but it has become one over the past two years. If you are trying to keep costs down and save money I suggest you look at non-essential personal or wasteful practices within your company. The groceries themselves are on the expensive side already so I cannot imagine with the volume of people I see at the three stores that your company is hurting for money.
Please take into consideration before people like myself get fed up and leave. If I have to bring or buy bags I will go elsewhere. I buy from Giant Eagle because it represents Pittsburgh to me and I would rather give my money to my neighbors than an out of town business.

gas pump and attendants
At approximately 4:25 PM this afternoon, 10/8/17, I stopped at the Indiana, PA GetGO to fill up my gas tank. When tank was full, the nozzle did not shut off and caused gasoline to spew out of my gas tank, onto my car, the pavement underneath my car and myself. My feet and sandals were soaked. I immediately hung up the nozzle and went inside the store. There were two employees behind the counter. A young man and older gentlemen. The older man ask me how I was today and I replied, "Not too good." You had better check your nozzle on pump number 1. The nozzle had not shut off when my tank was full and the excess gasoline was all over my car, the pavement underneath my car and my feet. The older gentleman replied, "that's the first I have ever heard of that." No question if I was alright, could he do anything for me. Nothing else. I had to ask if there was a restroom and where it was. Told attendants gas on the pavement needs attention. While I was in the restroom washing the gasoline off my feet and trying to dry my sandals, I would of thought the attendants would have cleaned up the excess gasoline. It was still there when I returned to my car. Another person pulled in right after I exited. Drove right through gasoline. Is this situation not an environmental hazard? Should it not have been addressed immediately. When are customer's safety and well being not even acknowledge? Poor, poor, poor customer service. Absolutely no concern for customer's well being, plus a pair of sandals ruined. The least the attendants could of done is ask me if I was alright. Did nothing. Sure would be nice to get an apology and at least be reimbursed for my $50 sandals.

Recently this week I went to get fuel and a car wash in twinsburg Ohio. When getting gas I purchased my car wash and was not given a code. This meant that I had to purchase a car wash after I already paid for one. I was double charges and would like to have my $10 back. I would like my money back because if not I will not return to getgo. I do not appreciate this happening but will be more then fine if I get my $10 refunded. Thanks!

Hi, this evening I purchased a buffalo chicken sandwich from the get go on Wylie avenue in Washington pa. I got home to find the sandwich only contained two small chicken strips about the the size of my thumbs and were over done. I don't think it matches the picture in the menu at all and wasn't worth the 3.99 at all. I will attach a picture below but I think from now on it's MTO for me.

My name is Eric Glenn and I've been a customer for 15 years but the events over the last 2 days have made me consider leaving for good. I went to pharmacy 3 days ago to check if my medications would be ready and the tech said "they would be ready." However, the next day they were not ready citing problems with insurance. This was not explained the day before. I explained that I need my insulin but it was met with contempt. I simply drove away. The next day I explained the same thing and Maria the pharmacist was combative and at one point threaten not to help me. I told her I was going to report her and the other pharmacist. She then coward away and got an override for my insulin. This same pharmacist called my endocrinologist and told the nurse I was not getting enough medication but lied stating something else. Both nurse and I were shocked at Maria's behavior. Even though I told this pharmacist I was sick she showed little concern. I've been in the health care field for 23 years as a counselor and a nursing student and never have I witnessed such negative behavior. I will consider all the wonderful relationships fostered over the years before leaving for another pharmacy. It is my hope that no one will ever have to experience what I did. Thank for your time.
Giant Eagle in Penn Hills, PA 15235, has proven to me OVER and OVER again they DO NOT CARE ABOUT ITS SICK CUTOMERS WAITING FOR SCRIPTS TO BE FILLED. WORST OF ALL THEY DON'T TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT. I AM A VERY SICK INDIVIDUAL WITHOUT GOING TO GET INTO WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME, I AM TREMINNALY ILL AND THEY TAKE OVER 3+ HOURS TOP FILL 2 LOUSY SCRIPTS. I would advise EVERYONE to stay far away from Giant Eagle on Penn Hills, PA. You would get better service if a monkey was helping or filling your order.
