prepared foods dept product - nashville style boneless wings - 1lb
I stopped at Giant Eagle store at 8400 Broadview Road, Parma, OH today and figured I would try something for lunch from the Hot Foods area of the store, the store had an excellent presentation, many options, fresh food by appearance, the Nashville Style Boneless Wings 1lb heat and serve container caught my attention $5.99, it shows as packed on Feb 03, 19, I purchased on Feb 6, 19 and states to sell by Feb 08.19. I brought the chicken immediately to work, heated for a couple minutes in microwave and proceeded to eat. I typically don't bother to take time to review or complain about food, usually if I don't like something, I just don't buy it again, I felt something needed said, the breading had absorbed so much oil I felt like I was knowing on a sponge, the product had heat but no flavor due to the excess oil. I ate about 1/2 of the meal before I threw the remainder in the trash, I don't care for a refund, I don't take up your time because I'm a complainer, hoping an honest review of my experience may bring attention to improved product, I challenge someone from corporate to stop in unannounced, try one of these for lunch yourself and walk away thinking that you at least had a lunch worth reordering again. I like chicken and am aware oil/grease is expected but not to this degree, ive gone to Nashville and had the real Nashville chicken before so I'm aware of the differences. An experience like this makes me question whether I want to try different available selections in the future.

This store does not payout over $40 They have a sign up every day stating Due to excessive payouts today the store cannot payout large winnings I mean this ridiculous I have tried to cash $100 $250 and even $500 winners and they would not let me Please do something about this store there are a lot of senior citizens that try to claim their winnings and...

Getgo in fox chappel, pa is registered with a location of o'hara township on freeport road. There is also a getgo in harmarville, also on freeport road and also in o'hara township.
I recommend that the database listing for fox chappel be changed, its o'hara township designation replaced with fox chappel to eliminate the currently existing confusion.
rude cashier
I have been going to the maple HTS store for about 15 year's. Today I wanted to purchase some groceries. The Maple HTS store has discontinued items up to 75% off. Register didn't recognize the items. Help was required. Cashier came over to help as I was in the self checkout line. She rerang item at full price. I explained to her that item was 75%off. She went to verify then added 75% to my bill without removing full price. Then another item wasn't giving me the 75% off price. Cashier told me that she can't keep checking price. After final check out and payment. I looked at receipt and seen that she didn't remove full price of item that was 75% off so I told her and she said that there's nothing she could do. Referred me to costumer service. I have never had any problem with this store until now.
giant eagle chicken salad & giant eagle salsa
I purchased chicken salad Giant Eagle last night, 9-28-18. As I was making my sandwich today, 9-29-18 the entire center of the container was filled with pink, raw chicken. I am fortunate that I did not eat it yet. I have photos to forward to you. It is extremely disturbing.
Also, I also purchased your fresh salsa and as we were eating it, there was a long, red piece of plastic inside the salsa. Again, it was large enough to easily spot & remove, but very disturbing. Hoping we did not eat smaller plastic bits . I have never had an issue like this with Giant Eagle. In fact I shop at Giant Eagle because I trust the quality of the products over other stores. I do have photos I would like management to see.
curbside express
Hello,
I have recently used the Curbside Express offered by Giant Eagle at the Cranberry Twp Pa Giant Eagle. The online ordering was great and I liked the convenience of that. I scheduled my order and picked it up in between the time slot that I scheduled. Everything was fine, until I got home and realized half my order was missing. I called Giant Eagle and spoke to the lady who assisted me with my order when I picked up. Her name is Judy. She said she would get the other items together and have me come pick them up. Well, due to working, I was not able to come pick them up and that is why I utilized the Curbside Express to help with time on my end. Judy did offer to bring the remaining items to my residence after her shift, which I agreed. She did drop off the items and again I was still missing one additional item.
I called Giant Eagle the next day and spoke to Judy, she admitted seeing the item when she came in to work the next day. I am not certain why she wouldn't call me to state this and not acknowledging it until I called? I asked Judy to just please refund me for this item because at this point I am just so disappointed in this whole decision to use this service. I will go back to using Walmart's online grocery, for I have used their service several times and NEVER had an experience like I had with Giant Eagle.
Judy did tell me she would credit the item back. I received an email indicating that the item was refunded, but I never saw this credit in my bank account. I did allow a day or two to let the transaction take place but after 4 days, I have seen nothing. I am not one to complain but this experience is just unacceptable. I use this service to help with managing my time with my busy life as everyone who uses this service does. I will definitely go back to Wal Mart's service. Thank you for your time!
your murrysville store
Can you please advise why your Murrysville store constantly has empty shelves, fewer name brand items, and associates that are not helpful at all. Never is there assistance given at the self checkout lines to help move things along and heaven forbid if you ask for assistance within the store. This is completely different than your Monroeville store. Is the Murrysville store owned by Giant Eagle or is it a franchise? you may want to evaluate your leadership at this store.
refusal to fill 90 days supply
The incident happened today (6/20/18) at 1000. I have a prescription for Maxalt (rizatriptan) that was written as #30. I called my insurance company asking them how I can fill them for 90 days supply. They told me they were willing to pay for 54 tablets for 90 days supply. I know I have enough refills on my prescription for 90 days' supply. I called the pharmacy asking them to fill 54 tablets for me and they refused citing that the doctor only wrote for 30 tablets and not for 54. According to Ohio Law the pharmacist is allowed to change the quantity to 90 days' supply as long as the prescription has enough refills and total quantity to cover the entire fill for the 90 days. Please refer to Ohio Revised Code 4729.40 to confirm this. I even called the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy to confirm this is as well. The pharmacy and pharmacist refused to help me.
red potatoes b size plastic bag
The plastic bag holding giant eagle red potatoes b size potatoes has a recycling symbol with NO NUMBER . MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO RECYCLE. PLEASE CONSIDER FIXING THIS MAJOR PROBLEM. I have checked the bag over multiple times and cannot find any other recycling number. I would have never bought the bag had i known there wasnt a number anywhere. Also just as a reminder the Giant Eagle stores that have recycling bins for plastic bags accept Plastic Bags Marked with a number 2 or 4 recycing number.
gift card sales - awareness and oversight for the elderly
My 88 year-old mother was the victim of a scam on Friday and Saturday 08-09 June 2018. It's known as the "Grandson Scam." She received a call from someone posing as a police officer. Her grandson was in an accident, and the car in which he was a passenger was carrying illegal drugs. They put someone on the phone pretending to be her grandson. He says he's sorry and please don't tell my dad. Officer then explains that the only way for him to stay out of jail for the night is if she can post bail. The only way they can receive payment is through gift cards.
My mother was naive and out of love for her grandson, took $3, 000 out of her accounts. She then went to the Hermitage, PA Giant Eagle where she attempted to put that amount on one Target gift card. She was told there was a limit of $500. So she purchased six cards at $500 each. Note: The scammers were able to convince her to do this two additional times. My 88 year-old mother on a meager income was robbed of $9, 000.
When I found out about it later Saturday afternoon, I asked her to call Target and stop the cards. Target was able to stop a few of the cards with approximately $1, 300 remaining. Target is going to contact Giant Eagle to request a refund for her.
I am not writing to "complain" to Giant Eagle. I'm writing to make a request.in the future, should your clerks encounter a senior citizen putting large sums on gift cards, could they the very least make an inquiry to the large purchase? Or could they make a comment something similar to, "I see you're putting a lot of money on those gift cards. I just want to make sure that you are aware that there are scams artists who have required people to put large sums on gift cards to rescue a relative, or to get a large lottery winning amount, or something else. We just want to be sure that you know the person to whom you plan to give these gift cards."
I don't want anyone else to go through what my mother is experiencing.

pharmacy is slow and unprepared
Girlfriend has been at pharmacy on interchange road for over an hour waiting on 10 strips of her medication. Out of stock on a medication is unacceptable. Im wondering if ppl don't know how to do there jobs or just don't know how to count to 10 an hour for medication is absurd even if there are 50 scripts to fill 20 mins should always be the max wait time or maybe HIRE more people and stop being a [censored] corporation.
pharmacy
I was just at the pharmacy to purchase some Claritin D. I gave him my drivers license and giant eagle card. He was running it through and then told me his system froze. We went to another terminal and repeated the process, but now I can not purchase it because it was recorded on the other terminal. He told me that he could not sell it to me. To try somewhere else. Also told me it is a statewide system, so technically I am in the system as purchasing it. He said I would have to wait about 2 weeks and try again. I need the medication NOW. Plus I have a $6 coupon that will be expired by then. He said there was no one he could call.
salad I bought
Ordered a make your own salad...I ordered romaine and spinach, got really old wilted looking head lettuce. Looked like scraps. It had about 3 cherry tomatoes and a couple cucumber slices and hardly any grilled chicken. I ordered carrots and green peppers...I got none. I ordered fat free ranch dressing...I got none.
I was shocked and surprised and so disappointed. I usually get an awesome salad at Getgo. Don't know what happened today!
lottery
I recently won $200 On a scratch off ticket, and even though I seen thousands of dollars in the lottery register, and the ticket states that you can cash anything under $600 at a store, at the GetGo store in Lawrenceville, on 40th st, Pittsburgh, PA 15201, I was turned away and told that GetGo cannot and will not honor my ticket as they cannot and will not cash anything over $100. This is extremely upsetting. Not only does that mean I now have to drive further out of my way to claim my winnings, but it now feels as though I haven't won anything. I cannot believe that GetGo would not honor a winning ticket bought at their location especially for such a small amount compared to what they make on a daily basis. I'm very disappointed in the service here and this has become the last straw for me with GetGo and it's horrible customer service. I know this complaint will either be defended with the obvious "we do not hold over $100 due to thefts" answer or not responded to at all. Even though, like I said, I seen thousands of dollars in the register when they cashed they guys ticket in front of me, in the lotto register. From now on I will consider no longer stopping at GetGo or Giant Eagle locations for any grocery shopping, quick stops, or gasoline for my company's fleet of trucks, and given the reply or lack of a reply, I will also consider spreading the word about the lack of customer service to my business associates and people I know in the trades.
gas station
I redeemed my 0.30 cents per gallon and the pumps were not working. When I arrived I scanned my advantage card, redeeeming my 0.30 cents per gallon of gas, then the pumps did not dispense any gas. I was unable to resolve the issue in person because that is no one who works at night. If the pumps were shut off after a certain Hour I should not have been able to redeem my gas points. It also should have been clearly posted that the pumps were off. I look forward to your response.
was refused the purchase of gas
I was not allowed to buy gas! I walked in with a $50 bill and asked for $20 in gas. She told me she had no moneyto give me change. Ok, I said can I wait a little while and as people come into pay you will have change to give me. She said no I don't have cash, there is no money! I asked for the manager and she said she was. I really hope the district manager reads this because they need to be aware of the [censor] they have managing the twinsburgh location!
gift cards
Third time that I went into the GetGo and was treated this way by the elderly manager I approached the counter with three gift cards at Giant Eagle a Williams and Sonoma and a eBay I had cash first he said he had to have ID and the card that I was going to purchase them with I said I had cash you said I can't accept cash after 6 p.m. to purchase the gift cards I lost my license which would have been no problem but just the mere fact that I called the other GetGo on Washington Road and they said they never heard of such a rule
hoagie
We went to the get go on 51, did our order, it was a steak and cheese footlong combo, well not only did they mess up and give us the wrong sub, but when I checked receipt to make sure I didn't order wrong thing, I seen he still charged us for the pop into of us already paying for the combo, so pretty much we ended up spending $15 for a disgusting sub we didn't order that got thrown away, this is the 3rd time the double charge for did happened, I let it go first 2x, but this time I'm FURIOUS
mto workers rude
The two lady's working in the mto department were rude and in no hurry to help anyone. There was a line of 5 ppl waiting for food the orders were red on the screen and there was no one else in the store. My number was never called. I just walked up cause I could see it was mine I had a salad and a frozen latte. They never even looked at me just said is the salad that goes with this And the one said yep. I said umm thanks and the one said ya welcome. I told the cashier that the Mto lady's need a better attitude. Now the salad is made great but my 20 oz frozen latte is basically milk and foam. With a Tiny bit of ice. The cashiers were very sweet and nice
I ordered nachos with chicken and never got my chicken. I called Ed the manager and he keeps hanging up on me.
