car wash
I paid for a SHOWROOM car wash and parts of my car weren't even touched! This is unacceptable. Even the cheapest of car wash selections should wash your entire car! But the most expensive selection (SHOWROOM) should undoubtedly not miss a thing. I've submitted my receipt and photos. You can see where the spinning washer touched the back of my car but missed most of it.

Nothing is ever stocked in this store despite the # of box carts strewed all around. There's generally 3 people working registers and 4 or more just hanging around looking for a light to blink. They should be bagging for those forced into self checkouts and don't. And the self checkouts are so slow and so sensitive that using them is completely unreasonable. A lot of us put up with a lot from this store because it is a rural area and we don't have a ton of options. What we do have however is a nice local store that will order, stock, and checkout all my products. I will never step foot back in this garbage giant eagle. Of all the ones I've gone to it's by far the worst. I'll happily pay a bit more or drive a bit further to avoid this [censored] hole. You have the laziest employees that I've ever seen. The only ones working hard are the cart boys.
italian bread with sesame seeds.
The bread has good flavor but is full of really large holes most likely due to incompetent bakery personnell who haven't a clue about how to knead dough. It's impossible to make a sandwich with this bread so my wife used it to make stuffing. Very dissappointing! These issues occur when the yeast isn't properly kneaded into the dough and is clumped in spot...

I was chewing my food and was chewing on clear plastic that was in the soup. I pulled it out of my mouth and then began vomiting.
I still have the can and the plastic for evidence. Would like to be reimbursed and a gift certificate/card would very much satisfy me. I never had no issues before. I still intend on shopping at your store. Thank you...
did not receive full count of prescription
Hello. My name is [removed]. On 7-27-2019 I had taken my prescription for Suboxone to the Giant Eagle in Crafton, Pa. I was supposedly to receive 54. I was given a baggie with only one box inside, which holds 30 and that was it. I hadn't realized it until I had gotten home that it was only one box and handwritten on it was the technicians initials, "AB...

Last evening on 7/30/19, I went to the Ellwood City Giant Eagle for a few things I needed for our son and a few dinner items. Let me start by saying, My husband and I love Giant Eagle. between the two of us, we probably frequent the store between 4-5 times a week. I am not one to complain, but when I went to check out was in Shelley's line and was not happy with the service I received. I am a new breastfeeding mother and receive WIC to help us. (My son has some special needs and every little bit helps.) I started placing my items on the counter while She finished up with another customer. I made sure I had everything organized, separated, and ready to go to make checkout much smoother. As it reached my turn, I greeted Shelley to which she didn't reply at all. she looked very annoyed and kind of huffed when I stated I would be using 2 wic checks today for baby food and cereal. -- She made me feel really embarrassed and like I was scum for using state assistance. I tried to turn the interaction around by complimenting her nails to which she ignored as well. I had my Advantage card out and ready for her and she stated "I guess you want to use that?!" I Also bought a few items myself and as soon as the transaction was finished I said "thank you have a nice day!" and she said "thanks" rudely as she quickly handed me my receipt. I understand that everyone has bad days, and maybe this was the case for her, but unfortunately this wasn't the first time this has happened.
The outcome I'd like to see is just maybe reviewing proper customer service procedures. A smile and a greeting wouldn't kill anyone. :)
the fresh salmon and feta pre made patties
I've been purchasing these for quite a while now and always have loved them ...recently I went to get them and noticed they look different...the lady behind the counter said they used to prepare them there but now they come pre made already ... I spent $16 on four patties and was not happy...they taste so different not the same at all...the other product was so much better when you made them at the store ... please go back to the old way... it was so much better..., if not I won't be purchasing them again.. was one of my favorite things Sincerely, Michele Urbania
bakery, meat and overall store
I have been shopping at this store for 20 years but enough is enough. I tried to order some sausage rolls in the morning for the next morning (5 dozen) for the next morning and they said I could take what was out. The loafs of bread are getting smaller every time I go in and they usually have a hole going down the center. The last 3 loaf I did get were so...

The manager at the Giant Eagle, Brunswick, Ohio has told me that he is unable to order/supply Peter Vella Chablis. We do not understand why we are unable to order 4 at a time as we have done in the past and have been for many years. This Giant Eagle store DOES supply Peter Vella. Please advise by return email WHY we cannot order the Chablis! We have been...

I have been purchasing your Ground Beef for quite awhile, But even with the 93% lean it is like chewing a "Pencil Eraser" and at almost $8/Lb. that is not good. I got some fresh ground beef at a local Meat Market at 93% Ground Round for $4.39/Lb and it melted in my mouth. From now on i am going to that Meat Market for my meat. Sorry. I was forced to discard a whole pot of chili i made from your ground beef. purchase date was around the 29th of June. It looked good and had a red color but i just couldn't chew it . This may help you in your efforts in producing a better product.
The meat product I bought was not tender.
customer service
On July 3, 2019 I went to the Giant Eagle on Perimeter Drive in Dublin, Ohio. I have been going to this store for the past 22 years. I work in Dublin, Ohio and visit the store 5 days a week to purchase lunch. I also buy groceries when needed. Two bus type vehicles pulled up to front entrance to drop off the elderly. An elderly lady that could not even hold her head up was on a motorized cart. She stopped right in the entrance. The employee tried helping but said the cart would not move. I asked if I could do something as the line to the entrance and exit was at this time extremely long. I went to first two people sitting at a desk. Even though sign said catering, I thought they would at least try and do something. They didn't even acknowledge I was standing there. Finally I spoke up. The guy said go to customer service. So RUDE. I went to customer service and she was with a customer. After waiting for exactly 7 minutes and the elderly lady and employee were still standing there, I got upset and left. I was very disappointed. I will think twice before going back.
cashier
In May I had an incident with one of the cashiers at the Frankstown Road Giant Eagle because I asked her not to bag my groceries, I told her I'd bag them myself. She told me to hurry up and proceded to bag my groceries.I told hernot talk to me like a child and it went left. she's very nasty and has had incidents with other customers before.
She was sure to tell me her name is Juanita Tellifaro because she knew nothing was going to happen to her. I reported the incident to corporate and they offered me a $25.00 gift card. She's back from vacation and is her usual rude, ignorant self. Since Giant Eagle doesn't care how their employees interact with their customers I'll shop elsewhere once I'm back with my transportation carrier. That heffer will run into a customer who isn't concerned about going to jail and they will smack her right in her ignorant mouth and I hope I'm there to see it. If I'm there to get a prescription.
So you told her not to bag your groceries so you could do it yourself and she told you to hurry up so she could bag other customers groceries? [censored].
pharmacy at biddulph plaza
The pharmacy at the Biddulph Plaza location in Cleveland Ohio is the single worst pharmacy in America. Every time we have a prescription sent there they fail to even look at it until we arrive then it is 45-60 minutes before it can be filled. This is an obvious ploy to get us to spend money in the store itself and it is infuriating. This past Saturday we went ot a clinic and my wife was prescribed an antibiotic for her toenail that was almost ripped off the previous day. She is on RA meds so has no immune system so this was an important prescription. Once again, an hour later when we arrive at the store(trying to give them extra time to have it reay still did not work) my wife was told it would be 45 minutes. We were already done with our shopping. Thankfully my insurance still allows me to use CVS but hers does not. Going forward we will shift her prescriptions to Walgreens and begin shopping at Acme. the female pharmacist that I spoke to Saturday was full of excuses but no solutions. When my wife returned an hour later she made still more excuses. She has no idea of the concept of customer service and should be removed from any position that involves talking to the public.
chicken wing sections (individually frozen)
Before I cooked any of these I quickly noticed that all the the chicken wings have hairs on them. Not one, not two, but all of them. It's really disgusting. You should halt production on this item. I almost posted it on social media but I figured I would give you guys a chance to fix it. This is an item that I look forward to eating weekly. The Giant Eagle store offered to give us our money back, however I feel as if that's not a substantial enough compensation due to false advertisement and time loss dealing with this situation. But if you think only giving me my money back fair, that's fine, I'm mainly complaining this so you don't give some poor child PTSD over eating hairy chicken wings. I'm keeping the bag in case you need it.

bakery
Ordered 2 gourmet strawberry cheesecakes on Mon for a Fri noon pick up. Got call at 7:45am Fri (day I'm picking up) that they can't fulfill order as they are out of stock. As a consumer I didn't know they were ordered frozen. If out of stock in store when I ordered, I should have been told that and no guaranty it would come in. Not day of function. Then I was stuck and had to get other items. No discount offered, no would you like to speak with a manager...nothing. Didn't really care one way or the other if I was happy or If i would remain a customer?
hot foods chicken and rigatoni
I ordered rigatoni not alot of sauce looked like some paste just mixed with the noodles no one liked it had no taste Very sad I always order for any events we have. Picked up at 4:00 served at 4:30 :( The chicken was to cooked and tough like it was cooked to long and very dry so the only thing we had left to eat was mini sandwiches which were perfect...
Read full review of Giant Eaglemarket district in wexford/ pizza maker
I have placed 2 prior complaints when experiencing issues with Joe the young man who makes the pizzas, this now being the 3rd at the Wexford market district location. The two prior experiences were during Lent. I have called and placed an order twice in the previous months and neither time did he have a pizza made despite calling in ahead of time. The first excuse was "i just got a 4 pizza order and didn't have time to make yours". The second excuse was "i didn't get an order from you" after confronting the women who took my order down she said that she would push the complaint on. After 3 months, I decided today (5/22/19) to try once more and Joe told me it would be a few minutes for him to make my pizza. I waited a few minutes/walked around and he gave me a cold pizza that was made prior to me coming in. Not sure what else has to be done before something changes but i'm personally tired of being let down because Joe enjoys socializing with his co-workers rather than doing his job (spinning the pizza rake/ making jokes). Would loveto see what action might be taken after this being the 3rd complaint or if I will be changing grocery providers because there is clearly a lack of value for your customer's.
Thank you,
service
I called giant eagle to see if you had double points on any gift cards, and the associate said hold on I will check for you and she came back to the phone and said they didn, t have any promotions on them. I thought you had them in holidays. I wanted to get a three hundred dollar gift card for home depot. Then just after mothers day my husband was shopping and asked when you were going to have doubled points on gift cards and the girl said we just had double points on certain ones, she said that home depot was one of them. I don, t think the other girl I talked to Evan checked. Would you please let me know when you are going to do double points on gift cards again? Thank you, Mary Mansell
car wash
I bought a $15 car wash at the getgo at 1081 Freeport road, Aspinwall, pa. Store number 3172. The entire back of my car and wheels were not even touched and aren't even wet. There is a dirt still all over the back and the wheels are filthy. I don't expect a perfect car but I do expect to get a decent car wash for $15! Could someone please respond to me at [protected]. Also, the young man who works there barely sprays the car before it goes into the car wash.
pharmacy, poor service & over charging on copays!
Recently I UNFORTUNATELY had to transfer my scripts from the Rite-Aid that closed to the Giant Eagle Pharmacy across the street.
It was nice having a drive thru & an efficient, COURTEOUS staff; something that Giant Eagle lacks.
But we have LIMITED options in the area.
I HATE YOUR PHARMACY!
I had a LOT of time on my hands while waiting in line to observe the following:
I noted at least 3 pharm techs, 2 people on the side at computers (which I'm guessing were the pharmacists) & 4 people running the "check-out..."
Despite having an ARMY of employees behind the counter…
I STILL HAD A 33 MINUTE WAITING TIME JUST TO PICK UP AN ALREADY FILLED Rx!
SHAME ON YOU
For making all those elderly customers stand in line for 30+ minutes waiting on your lackadaisical pharmacy staff!
There are 3 chairs tucked to the corner but people are afraid to use them because they would lose their place in line.
When the line is long enough on ANY given day that it warrants having a designated "roped" off isle to keep customers in line, THAT'S RIDICULOUS!
Yes, flu & cold season, understandable.
But a CONSTANT LINE of no less than 4 people?
What's wrong with you people?!
Is your system REALLY that haphazard?!
Is your staff THAT inept, complacent & SMUG?!
You should have adequate seating & a number system!
Even the Walmart deli has "pick-a-number."
Please inform your staff;
There's really no hurry…
As those poor old folks die waiting in line…
Rigamortis will set in & their walkers will hold them up indefinitely!
Don't worry about any of those elderly folks who may choose to sit in the chairs.
I'm SURE no one will notice them & you can dust them off for Halloween decorations!
Your pharmacy staff members for the most part are RUDE, EXTREMELY SLOW & over charge!
I have UPMC for Life.
I SHOULD HAVE low co-pays, in round numbers like $5, $10, etc., like I had at Rite-Aid.
NOT weird prices like $14.01 or $28.—whatever.
What crap are you people trying to pull?!
I took a COUPON from Good Rx in that was CHEAPER than what my co-pay would have been.
The price you were charging me as my "copay" was actually HIGHER than what is listed as "Retail Price" WITHOUT going through my insurance!
Let me get this right…
You're charging MY insurance a price for each Rx & charging me a "copay" too?
BOTH of which are more than the listed retail price or what I would pay out of pocket with a coupon?
This is SERIOUS insurance fraud billing crap going on!
OVER CHARGING MUCH? WTF!
I CALL [censored]!
YOU REALLY SHOULD AUDIT YOUR SYSTEM OR AT LEAST THIS LOCATION!
SOMEBODY's going on a NICE vacation on our dime!
Or maybe that's how y'all pad your "profit margin?"
There is some HINKY crap going on there!
Or is it just total incompetence?!
I WILL BE NOTIFYING UPMC OF YOUR PRACTICES
The local news station will ALSO get a "heads up" after I'm done VENTING here!
If it wasn't for me noting the ridiculously inflated price of my Rx's from the "Rite-Aid" price to YOUR price no one would have recognized OR notified me that they weren't putting ALL of my Rx's through my insurance.
How can one have a $5 co-pay & the next be $28.89?
"Oh, we didn't have your insurance information."
Really? Hmmm, you had it the 1st time…
Meanwhile I TOLD THEM that the prices I was being charged weren't matching the prices that UPMC was reporting in the "out of pocket" monthly cost report which is sent to me every month!
You don't get a co-pay on one script & not on the other in the SAME purchase if you don't have the insurance information!
How STUPID do you think people are?
How many elderly people are YOU screwing over?!
As your clerk MINDLESSLY banged on the keys blaming the computer for speed & function...
She abruptly dismissed my concerns.
Showed OBVIOUS disregard & arrogance as she turned away from me stating:
"Oh, I don't see how that can be…we bill direct."
Condescending much?!
Other than expressing my TOTAL EXASPERATION over my Giant Eagle Pharmacy "Experience" i.e NIGHTMARE
I would NEVER speak or treat anyone that way, least of all a customer!
THIS is the type of personnel you hire to service your customers?
Ignorant B****!
Who did she think she was talking to?
Obviously, your system isn't difficult nor is it brain surgery.
I'm guessing it doesn't take more than a high school education (if that) to grasp the concept & navigate it successfully with very little instruction.
One should NOT cast aspersions!
So, that P***'d me off…
BUT your "on-line" pharmacy site SUCKS beyond belief!
You do realize that "BETA" systems went out in the 1990's don't you?
If I take the time to create an account…
A log in…
Enter a chosen password...
I should be able to have a SIMPLE point & click option to refill an Rx from my PROFILE history!
It's a SIMPLE algorithm!
Customers should NOT have to pull out their bottles, put on their readers & type in a GIANT cluster F*** of numbers that YOU already have in your system!
What's the point of going through all the steps needed if you can't access the information efficiently?
YOUR SYSTEM IS USELESS!
Frankly, it's easier just to call & say fill it.
Which REALLY irritates them!
Their distain for having to answer the phone let alone perform a service for a customer is QUITE EVIDENT in their voice!
After all, that's what they're paid to do & what I'm paying for, isn't it?
Stupid, inefficient system!
Don't even get me started on your "auto refill!"
You are aware that the "auto" in auto-refill means "AUTOMATIC" don't you?!
Geez Louise!
How long does it take for THAT to start?
Bet most of those elderly people that don't die waiting in line; die waiting for their auto-refill to kick in!
When does the "convenient" auto refill begin?
Don't advertise what you are incapable OR refuse to provide!
You guys are NOT much for forethought, convenience OR service!
Again, what about the old folks whose memories aren't what they use to be?
They forget & soon they go days before they can get a ride to the pharmacy to jump through your ridiculous hoops, Missing doses!
No blood pressure medication for 3, 5, 10 days?
STROKE!
Giant Eagle; "Sorry, our ‘bad'."
Just sayin'…
Lets say you get a monthly Rx for say 3 months.
Something needed for high blood pressure & such, NOT an "as needed" or PRN medication.
3 months is up.
YOU have to notify the MD & you have to "sign up" AGAIN IN PERSON for the very SAME scripted medication you've been on for most likely YEARS!
If the MD writes an Rx & allows (requires) refills,
You shouldn't have to ask or sign up for auto refills EVERY FREAKIN' TIME!
Common sense people!
Just add a few more USELESS, inconvenient steps to the process!
Freakin' Bureaucrats reinventing the wheel!
I understand narcotics precautions but if the medication is a patient standard & been around long enough to have a generic form it shouldn't be such a tedious, inconvenient process!
Again,
I CALL [censored]!
At the very LEAST..
Give the customer a ONE time slip to sign that for ANY / ALL medication prescriptions warranting "refills" to be "automatically" refilled for as long as they are customers or until THEY call to stop the service.
Every script, every time is RIDICULOUS!
I know your scam!
Get ‘em into the store,
Make them WAIT 30+ minutes & they'll buy some groceries to save time.
WRONG!
30+ minutes in line...
They're tired, they're backs are killing them, they're P***'d off & BROKE from the prices you're charging!
They're going to Aldi's next door where food is a third of the price & FRESHER!
If you offer an "on-line service" at least up date it every 30 years or so!
It's almost 20 years into the 21st century!
Rite-Aid did it, Walgreens & CVS does it.
You can track my "PERKS..."
What I've purchased in the past 10 years...
OR what I "NEED" to pick up from this weeks sales…
But you can't make a convenient on line refill service?!
Your site is PATHETIC!
Your insurance co-pay ethics are seriously QUESTIONABLE, to say the least!
YOUR SERVICE IS HORRENDOUS!
Your prices are INFLATED!
Maybe you should just stick to price gouging on groceries.
Even at that…
Who designed THAT confusing maze of goofy, mind numbing product isles?
Same guy running the pharmacy?
OBVIOUSLY your company doesn't do well "multi-tasking!"
Karma is a TERRIBLE thing & I hope you get it in SPADES!
Have a nice day,
V Zaborowski—NOT a Fan!
PS… I'd say which location but I'm just curious to see if your "system" can do more than what the original 1980's Apple systems did. I'm betting NOT! Sad, so VERY sad.
I DO NOT HAVE A "SOCIAL MEDIA" ACCOUNT. NOW YOU CAN'T COMPLAIN UNLESS YOU DEAL WITH FACEBOOK CRAP? HOW MANY ELDERLY EVEN HAVE COMPUTERS?
YOU PEOPLE ARE EXASPERATING!
