hi! i am a frequent shopper at your ramsey store. However on 12-2-18 I saw employee Darnell yell at employeees. He was very rude and out of line to them. you treat your customers like gold and to see employees treated disrespectful and not recieving the same treatment as customers is wrongin today's world. employee darnell should be removed and does not know how to respect people or his employees for that matter. that kind of treatment is unfair and rude.

On Saturday the 17th of November 2018 i went to shoprite Alexandra pan Africa and i was assisted by this unprofessional and rude lady the name of Anelisa. While I standing on the queue she was busy to her friend at the same time taking her time while saving customers and when I got to the till her mind I was not even there. I paid for my groceries and she gave me 1 bag that was not even enough for my groceries. I was surprised when I saw her scanning the next customer's items and putting them next to mine. It's like she was doing us a favor by assisting us. I was busy putting my card in my purse the man's items were pushed next to mine. Am turned back by the suppervisor because my iterms are more than 10 nd there was no body to tell me this, when i called the manager she also sends me back to pay by other tillpoints, where the line is very long nd sh says it is the shoprite rules that is important not my happiness as the customer
food (stir fry)
I bought stir fry at USave in Mthatha today at 15:55 when I was about to cook it, I opened the plastic and unbearable smell filled my kitchen as the stir fry was rotten. I drove to USave to lodge a complaint and them to refund me my money as I was no longer interested in their stir fry. The security and the cashier treated me well then they called the manager who came and asked me where is the other potion, I told him it was like that, I couldn't cook it as it was smelling. He started making a scene that he won't refund me I should go to hell and everyone in the shop started laughing. I asked for the slip then I left and he continued insulting me. As I was going, one lady who was there said I should lodge a complaint with you

Tues 30 Oct I purchased a packet of Pot o' Gold frozen Peas, Sunday 04 Nov I opened the pack to cook, to my surprise the colour was white/cream instead of green as you would expect peas to look like. I boiled them and the smell that filled may kitchen was terrible. it is so disgusting when you go to Elloff branch the store is filthy and the smell coming from the freezer section is unbearable.

Firstly let me compliment you on your revamped store A real beauty Then with a sad heart I must bring under your attention that the store is getting a bad name in the community through the lack of interest for their jobs by your staff members On numerous occasions we are faced with empty shelves Cold Drinks Milk Ice Cream Shampoos Worcester sauce meat past their expiry date etc I have brought a lot of these under the attention of your staff and were mostly met with a don't care attitude Please send an inspector to arrive unannounced to have a look at certain departments Serious management issues are at stake here and your business are paying the price

It's so sad how we get treated when we shop at our township shoprite. Firstly the cashier was on the go slow mode, I get to the till she after ringing all my groceries she advise that I cannot use my husband's card which is understandable for safety precautions. I then asked to withdraw cash on a till right there inside the shop, about a few steps away and there was no line and she tells me she can't wait for me with a huge attitude, and me thinking she's joking since I've been standing on a queue for over 30minutes I walk to the atm. On my return, not even a minute was gone and she tells me she has cancelled all my groceries and she proceedproceeded with other clients while I stand there like I'm crazy. I had to ask her if I should join the line again or what, she was so rude if I did not need the stock I was there to buy I would have left everything and left.

When I got to the till they told me no its not on sale and there is no booklet in the store so they can't help me
I than asked for the Manager that had me waited for 30 min and still pass me bye and told me to wait his coming
I don't think that is how business should be done and the sloppy attitude that the tell supervisor and Manager gave

We had children in the car. My husband flashed lights and the driver did not even bother to say sorry.
This is really uncalled for and it could have turned out very bad.

I was at the express till. There were customers with big trolleys and lots of groceries in it. I asked the cashier to show me an express till because I was rushing. She just asked me if I think I'm the only one in a hurry in this queue. I was so humiliated. I went and complained to a manager but she just said sorry before I even finished my sentence trying to get rid of me. You really need to teach those shoprite employees how to treat customers. It is really frustrating to go and spend your money in a store that does not have customer service vocabulary.

I feel like you are scamming people, I bought stuff at Randfontein Station mall and got a scratch card with a winning and I went yesterday 12/09/2018 to use it with one product mentioned on the scratch card of course and it was invalid. they called the manager an she tried punching the voucher number and still says its invalid. She said to me I must come next time and try to use the voucher maybe it will work like really now!
And again make sure that all the prices on the isle are the correct cause that's falls advertising.

Shoprite(Randburg Square) faked expiry dates on their desert which I bought an ate yesterday the 5th of September. The first expiry date was 31/08/2018. On top of it they a new expiry date 02/09/18 and again on top of that one they put a new one 05/09/18' Clearly if I ddnt buy it yesterday this was going to continue. I went back to the store to speak to their manager and we found that the rest of the items similar to mine were also manipulated in the same way. They're purposely selling expired products. As we speak I am in my first trimester of my pregnancy and I have to miss work and also take my own money to go see a Dr to check how this affected my unborn child. Shoprite put my health and my baby's life in danger purposely so and I want justice for this disgusting injustice. The manager told me if the pains I was experiencing are not caused by their expired food then Shoprite cannot be to blame. My question now is we are busy attacking Somalians for selling us expired food but how is Shoprite Different in anyway?

I was at Shoprite in PE the Motherwell branch. I was so humiliated and thrown at the back office like i am a thief or what so ever. Two cashiers from money market didn't want to assist me they shout at me then after two securities came to me and grab me like infront of the staff amd customer's . However i was so humiliated and thrown at the back of the back wher they keep those who steal some things..the security opened my.bag i told him what do you want in my bag i didn't steal or anything from the store. Should uou not find anything that you looking for i will.report you. Hr didnt even listen or care about that..i was harrassed by those two securities grabbing my by my clothes. No onr assisted me or try to say no stop. But they we're all over me. I was harrassed treated like a thief just because i.was fighting for service. The staff was so rude and arrogant towards me . Does that happen because I am black? Shoprite Checkers must deal with money market staff and those two securites. I will sue shoprite for this incident. I was harrassed, being shouted. Those people abused me physically and emotionally. No such behavior or treatment must be given to any one regardless of who their are and the colour of their skin

I have been a faithful ShopRite shopper for over 18 years. I've always loved shopping at the one closest to me in Bordentown New Jersey for its great convenience and familiarity. I shop for all my groceries and also use the pharmacy. I want to tell you about a very upsetting situation that happened to me today. Actually to say that I'm upset would be an understatement; I am furious over what happened to me today while I was checking out.
I should tell you that I have been using coupons at this particular ShopRite for a little over a year. There are some rare occasions where an item goes on sale while there is a manufacturer coupon that causes it to double. On ALL THE OTHERE OCCASSIONS I have been able to add regular priced items to my cart and that balances out the total amount owed to me. I have never received money back from the store and don't ever expect to.
On this day while I was making my transaction, I had some manufacturer coupons for $0.75 (seventy five cents) each which at my ShopRite- automatically double. The cashier refused to double my coupons because it made my total amount owed a negative amount. Again, I understand that ShopRite will not physically give me any money- I simply added some regular items to cancel out any money owed to me. The cashier and another staff member who I thought was the manager by the way she was talking so authoritatively refused to give me a credible explanation and voided my manufacturer coupons. They handwrote a different amount on my coupon and did not want to honor the policy that any manufacturer coupon under $0.99 (ninety nine cents) double.
The two employees by the name of Kathy and Sandy belittled me; they talked down to me and humiliated me. They mocked me and were speaking to me in a sarcastic tone by saying "Apparently you know what you're doing and we don't". I wasn't stealing anything from the store- I used some coupons. As a customer and a consumer it is my right to use coupons and even take advantage of a great deal. Like how I explained in the beginning of my statement- I have been using the exact same store for over 18 years. I have been a faithful customer and have always had a pleasant time shopping.
The behavior and comments made by these two employees made me feel embarrassed and disrespected. A manager eventually did come to the cash register where I was making my transaction and all he did was void some of my coupons. I didn't think that the moment was right for any kind of drama so I simply paid for my total amount and told them that I would be calling to complain. I demand a clear explanation of the actions taken against me today.
What exactly is the policy if items that are on sale also clash with manufacturer coupons? I think that they should not take coupons and void them by handwriting in a different amount. The manufacturer is the one who is reimbursing money back to the store; why stop a consumer from using it? Also, if the cashiers feel any type of way towards people who use coupons they should keep their disgusting comments to themselves. I was being talked about to my face with another customer who was behind me. I was kept in line for 25 minutes when it should have taken no more than 10 minutes.
If ShopRite doesn't want to keep true to their word and policy of doubling coupons under the mentioned amount- I will regrettably have to look for another grocery store to do all my shopping. After today, it made me think that I was being discriminated against just for the simple fact that I was using coupons. I kept asking both cashiers about the policy in store to double coupons and they both kept refusing to talk to me. The cashier by the name of Sandy rudely rolled her eyes at me. Yes, you read right and there is a difference between a regular/normal eye roll and a rude one. Her eye roll was a look of disgust and aggravation towards me. Even after telling her that I have done the same type of transaction before at the same store she refused to even acknowledge me. Customer Service is one of the reasons why I don't shop at another big chain grocery store. I have seen many of the familiar faces and while not every cashier I've come across likes it when customer have big purchases and use coupons at the same time I have never ever been treated like I was a pest. I would appreciate a response for todays horrible experience.

Good day, yesterday [protected]) late in the evening when I visit my home village - I bought a box of kellogs all bran in Masibekela U Save/shoprite. Today morning my son had those kellogs for breskfast and I took him to school. When I arrive home I wanted to enjoy the same breakfast as his. When I poured milk on the kellogs I noticed some small insect or mites floating on my bowl. I was shoked and frustrated to discover what my son ate. I then went to the nearest Usage/ shoprite (Naas/ Kamaqhekeza) to request for a replacement cos I can't continue seating something with mites on it. I asked the secury at the door if they can exchange for me, he said they can't because I did not buy from their shop. I must drive back to return the product from where I bought it. He went on and told me to leave cos his side cos he is done talking to me. I then requested to speak to the manager. The manager came and she asked the security to apologise - He said to my face that He will NEVER apologies to somebody like me. I'm so disgusted about the behavior cos I don't know what those small living animals will do to my son since he ate it with the cornflakes without knowing.

I went to Shoprite liquor Tower Mall during the week bought some wine the shelve price & that on my receipt were R10 of a difference, my husband wanted to go back & complain but I asked him to let it go, Friday (24/08/2018) the same thing happened again. I over heared the security say the problem has been happening the whole week & I dont think Nomvula Mkhwanazi "miss manager" knows the meaning behind customer is always right because she kept on talking back angry as I was by a problem that could have been fixed but she told me I need to have my attitude fixed after she almost robbed anothe R15 ... I purchased goods at Shoprite Polokwane on the 4th of April2018, The lady at the till that was assisting deducted the money twice from my card, I called and spoke to the manager Awie he requested my bank statement and slip, i gave him all my documents I called him the following week he said he checked the cameras and he can see on my statement that the money went off twice and he will refund me, He send the documents to the bank for confirmation I waited for a month, I decided to follow up with the bank they explained to me that they wont be able to reverse the transaction because It was over 30days, The bank called the manager and explained to him that they need to do a cash refund, I called shoprite customer care they did not assist or kept me updated I had to call everyday to follow up and the manager was not available most of the time, I spoke to him last month he told me a different story saying the money did not go off, and requested my documents again I guess he lost my documents.I have never received such bad service im not happy at all I will never purchase my groceries at shoprite again I want my money back!

ground beef mince meat
On 25 June 2018 I bought a ground beef mince meat at Shoprite, Lyttelton Shopping Centre. On arrival at home, I tried to cook it only to find that it's stale/rotten. It was slimy and sticky. When cooking it was forming unbreakable small balls. It tasted sour/bitter after cooking. I couldn't even eat it. I just wasted my R114. Shoprite has just lost itself a customer.

I have encountered problems at this u save evaton adams road several times as I go purchase some items. The staff of this u save they are very rude especially their manager name of bafana. Every time when we buy there it's either there's no change or their prices are in correct or we waiting for cashiers. There's this one time when I was waiting for the manager and I was told he is coming after for some minutes I asked the security for how long must I wait for him and she told me he is coming only to find out he is standing next to security woman and he was flipping smoking and I told him we waiting for u and u smoking he than told me I must go to him and he will explain why he's smoking because I will wait for him like it or not.
Sometimes i wonder if you really about your staff and their well being ! are they even subsidized

adverse event customer falling because of a bad entrance mat
On saturday 16 june 2018 my mother (60 years old )went to shoprite Dobsonville mall and she tripped and fell at the entrance because the mat was not flat on the floor as its suppose to be ... when she went to the branch manager to complain she was told that there is nothing they can do and shoprite does not pay customers who were hurt in their store... security personell did not even bother to help her up stating that they did not see her when she fell which is odd because they are always standing at the door, even when my mother asked them to remove or change the mat the security personell told her its not their job to be moving the mats around they did not even bother to ask the person responsible for the mats to be changed by them rather... customer service at Shoprite Dobsonville mall is terrible because its in the township and the staff there thinks black people dont deserve good customer service! I am looking forward to your response.
