When I need something on Amazon that I want right away, I search for the Prime 1-day delivery option. I order hours before the said deadline, but only 2 or 3, out of 5 times, do they actually arrive on time.
The only way they can actually deliver 1-day shipping is if an Amazon driver delivers it, so When I get a USPS tracking number for it, I know I'm screwed. Today was a perfect example. Yesterday, I ordered (well before the deadline) a gift that I needed today. This morning, Amazon sent me a USPS tracking number for the merchandise.
Estimated delivery, tomorrow. This happens regularly here. Why offer 1-day shipping on merchandise if it's not in the warehouse? When I contacted Amazon, the representative said it wasn't in stock at the local Warehouse.
Why is 1-day delivery offed then? The representative sidestepped that question without a valid answer. It was as though he had a list of answers in front of him. I never got a direct answer from him.
It gets better.
Now I don't need the merchandise, so I have to print a label, get in my vehicle and drive 20 minutes to ship it back to Amazon. I won't get a refund until well after they receive the returned product that should have been here on time.
User's recommendation: Never expect amazon deliveries on time.

Unable to use amazon cash
On October 23, 2021 I purchased Amazon Cash through Canada Post in the amount of $240 which was duly confirmed by Amazon via email. For some reason or other, the order could not proceed although my Amazon Cash balance shows a balance that exceeds the total order including GST. I could get up to the point where the website asks if I want to use my Amazon Cash balance which I duly checked off but the "Continue" button would not activate.I contacted an Amazon rep who suggested I try and make a purchase for an incidental amount ($6.00+) and see what the system would do with the same result.
This was then I asked that I be refunded my money which she said she would "un-redeem" from my account and that I would receive the funds withing 24-48 hours. A subsequent phone call to another representative confirmed that I should receive a refund of $240.
After checking to see if Amazon had indeed deposited my money back into my account, I found out otherwise and contacted Amazon again to find out why. After much troubleshooting from her end, she deemed that it was not possible for my to get my money back and that Amazon Cash is no longer accepted at their website. This is a quote from their email they sent me after I had last spoken with their agent:
"At this time, we do not accept Amazon gift card as a payment method on our website. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
This is simply un-acceptable. Any ideas for recourse would be appreciated.

Amazon has placed my account on ‘hold'. Apparently, they claim that I owe them for order back to. 2016. No one from Amazon has ever contacted me. This is bogus as Amazon does not send out items unless it's been paid. When there's a problem with payment, they then go to an alternate method when this occurs. Or, they'll send you an email notifying you that they need an alternate payment method. None of this was ever done. Additionally, when an order was extremely overdue, I requested a credit for the problem. They graciously gave it to me. The next day, the hold was placed on my account. Reps for the last week or so, promised me a call from TRS although none were received. This, this is all bogus. Years ago, the same thing happened and it was cleared up. Today, they refused to help. I talked to Trudy and then a supervisor, Mimi. No company who is owed a legitimate debt, five years old, neglects to contact the customer for payment. Plus, Amazon does not give away products. It sells them when payment is rendered. This is all bogus.

I would love to see the evidence that Amazon has saying that I am buying and reselling to my customers? I didn't realize that being a good Christian person and blessing random people off their wishlist/registry was a crime and going against standards! Last I knew Amazon list and registries are for public use and there is absolutely nothing wrong with me blessing others with items off their list. Amazon bothers me with resolved dispute / locked out of my account again!
On September 2 2021 I purchases a Kindle on Amazon. Amazon apparently had an error charging my card so they charged the card formerly on my account of a family member. So long story short the family member ended up paying for the Kindle and I paid the family member back. I had resolved this issue between my card company and several Amazon representatives over the course of several days. I just received an e-mail from Amazon today, October 22, repeating the same transaction dispute from September 2 with my mother's card, which has long since been removed from my account from the first incident. The Kindle was bought and paid for and this was acknowledged and resolved with them. Now I am again receiving messages from Amazon about the already resolved dispute from September 2, which they are apparently disputing again, and I am locked out of my account.
On another issue, Amazon attempted to sign my parents up for Prime this past week on their account without their consent. It has truly become horrible!
Update: Amazon has closed my account and will not allow me to open another one with my current card which is the only card i have. My Kindle is also useless now. No apparent refund for the eBook purchases I made for the Kindle. Truly horrible and unbelievable!

Amazon driver crossed the double yellow lines and was coming at me head on. I had to run off of the road to avoid collision. I turned around to catch up and got a picture of the back of the van. Approximately seven pm on October 18th on Center street in ronkonkoma, NY, I was walking my dog with my wife and was threateningly accosted by an Amazon delivery man. He accused me of shining my flashlight at him. I explained that I had the light because I was walking the dog in the dark. I was completely surprised when he appeared, having noticed the panel truck and just walked by on the other side of the street from the house where the delivery was presumably being made. He got through shouting at me and sped away in the amazon panel truck. I would have expected that Amazon would have provided training to these people to prevent them from aggressively confronting people who are minding their own business. If no action is taken Inwill cease patronizing Amazon and cancel my account.

$110.86 refund
From around 10.5.21 to 10.15.21 I have literally begged this company for a $110.86 refund that I even requested to have placed on a gift card. I've called/chatted/emailed over 10 times about an order that was returned by them because I didn't pick it up on time from the hub locker. I've been told: "You'll receive the refund in 2-3 hours"; and "You'll receive the refund in 24 hours"; and "The refund can take up to a month."
Their chat customer service is a complete and total joke and all of those people need to be out of a job. The majority of their telephone and email customer service agents that I've dealt with aren't that much better.
After speaking to over 5 individuals, I was contacted via email with instructions to complete an "incident report form" WHICH I AM NOT COMPLETING. There is no "incident" to report! The items aren't missing. They weren't stolen, not to my knowledge and, at least, not by me. YET, AFTER BEGGING FOR THE REFUND, I'm sent an "incident report form" as if I've lied all along about the order being returned BY AMAZON.
I DO NOT HAVE THE ORDER! THE HUB LOCKER STAFF TOLD ME THE ORDER HAD BEEN RETURNED! CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME I COULDN'T HAVE THE ITEMS RE-SHIPPED TO ME, THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GET A REFUND AND REORDER EVERYTHING. But now I can't get my refund because apparently I'm either being accused of having it already — STEALING — or I'm being punished like a child for not picking it up on time (for the first time in the many years I've ordered from this company).
A final thought is, due to greed I've been denied the refund UNTIL I reorder the items THAT WERE RETURNED BY AMAZON. Then the refund will be released on their gift card and they would have received twice the money, at least, from me for the month. I'm sure they noticed my spending has diminished significantly from at least $500 for many months in the past year to less than $100. (I spent like that to order supplies for my startup jewelry making business, not because I can afford to spend $500 a month on Amazon!)
The sad thing is, I still have 3 items to return and request refunds for that I don't feel confident that I'll receive refunds for. They total about $100 too.
Then again, maybe THIS NONSENSE is all about discouraging customers from requesting refunds!
Whatever the case, I've already canceled my memberships and I've written down the songs in all of my music playlists. After THIS "INCIDENT", which may cost me over $100, I'll only use this company as a last resort because apparently being "customer-centric" only applies to the well-off, rich, and wealthy who shop on that site. Delivery vans violating traffic laws
Oct. 12, 7:05pm, license plate of van XLE490, Anderson Rd., Bernardsville NJ. Amazon delivery van was illegally parked on this 2 lane road instead of pulling into drive way for home where delivery was being made. I approached and signaled that I was passing this Van with flashers on (indicating he was dangerously parked - not moving) and suddenly when I am just next to the van the driver pulls out endangering me. He was illegally parked and then he pulls out without looking. It is dark he saw my cars lights unless he was perhaps on his phone as he pulled out. STOP your DRIVERS from being RECKLESS. These drivers drive by the clock not by rules and safety. As a result of so many infractions the next time I will be phoning the police.

I've complained several times to Amazon Customer Care regarding the drivers not following delivery instructions to no avail. It doesn't seem to matter to Amazon as to whether or not packages get stolen or not. I have specific instructions to put all packages behind the gate on the north side of my house but most of the time the drivers are too lazy to read the instructions or they just don't care and throw the packages at my front door. The packages are now visible from the street and there have been many thefts in the area of people driving by and seeing packages left out in the open and are stolen. The last two customer care representatives assured me that they will talk to the responsible parties and that instructions will be followed. My last package delivered on 10/8/21 was again thrown in front of my front door. I'm assuming by past actions that nothing will be done about this. My next step is to file a BBB complaint.
