Shop fees
I agreed to pay $99.99 + tax for a wheel alignment equals $106.49. She, the sales associate, was charging me $116.49. I told her the alignment plus tax equals $106.49. She then tells me there's a $10.00 shop fee that has to be added, which can't be removed because of state law. I asked that the shop be removed from the bill for me to proceed with the...

Pricing/ gender discrimination. Sent me on the road with life threatening tire hazards to make a profit. He specifically pointed out the danger of driving on the other tires. The same one that BMW had me sign a waiver for before they let me leave the lot. I hobbled into tire kingdom on 6100 block of Tamiami trail in Sarasota yesterday on a completely blown tire. Asked for a quote for a new tire and advised that I was not in a financial situation to pay for tires, but understood I had to have this done. The "gentleman"came out with a quote for one tire of 575.00! He said it wasn't in stock, and was the only one that would fit my car. I said I must look more stupid than I actually am and walked away. I sat in my car and went to their website and found one tire that they could order that, including install, would be 235.00. I then went back in and long story short, the manager first tried to tell me the installation would cost over 225.00. After he then realized he had an intelligent sub-species gender in his midst, he then said he had no explanation. I was very much prepared to finance 4 new tires. I am assuming none of these individuals have mothers and/or daughters.
Desired outcome: Court Settlement or public apology through their facebook and reimbursement of what was paid for replacement tire and tow (@325.00)
Unauthorized credit card charges - discrimination against senior citizen/immigrant
Taking Advantage of Senior Citizen/Immigrant
There are no words to describe how completely Tire Kingdom cheated me. I brought my Fiat vehicle to Tire Kingdom because the air conditioning was malfunctioning and the car needed an alignment. I expected the mechanics to diagnose the problem, call me, and make suggestions on how to resolve the problem. What I did not expect was for Tire Kingdom to charge me over $2700 for unnecessary work. And the vehicle is still not repaired.
Because I have a strong Spanish accent (although I speak English fluently), they took advantage of my inability to return phone calls quickly by replacing spark plugs, gaskets, hoses, brakes, air filters, and completing an oil change at material prices 3 to 4 times the actual cost — $150 for a valve gasket cover, $150 for spark plugs, $155 for a radiator coolant hose, and $150 for a radiator hose — among other astronomical prices.
I never gave my consent to perform any of these services and Tire Kingdom certainly did not obtain my approval in writing. It’s clear to me that Tire Kingdom decided to charge me whatever they wanted, because I am a senior citizen and of Hispanic heritage. This is clearly a case of discrimination and ageism.
Desired outcome: I am requesting a full refund from Tire Kingdom. If I see no effort to resolve this injustice, then I will be filing complaints against Tire Kingdom for racial discrimination and elder abuse.
Tire service
I am writing this to a complaint about poor customer service I experienced from your employee, Michael Odom. It is also to draw your kind attention in regard to his ineptness and unprofessionalism. I had a scheduled appointment on October 7, 2022 for services for my car. When I arrived, I explained what I needed to be done. Michael with an aggressive tone...

Called and made appt in Vero Beach, FL on 21st St for husband's vehicle to get 4 new tires and a oil change. Price quoted less than $900. Said tires I wanted would be ordered and delivered I one day. Thanks.
Husband drops vehicle off at 9am. Vincent says the online scheduling doesn't work sometimes...but finds that my name is Brenda and sees I picked tires and an oil change. Okay. Husband signs papers and leaves. Vincent calls us to say brakes will need repair. Yes we know. Also says AC condensor fan not working properly. Husband asks what will happen with fan? They say vehicle could overheat. Husband asks, do I have to fix it right now? Answers no. Okay. Finish tires and call when ready. Pay, pick up vehicle. Husband gets in and NO AC! Let's vehicle run a few minutes. Hotter inside than outside in FL air! Goes back in because no air and NO OIL CHANGE DONE. And a $233 Tire Plan Charge?!?! Vincent gets called up front and husband says no air. Vincent goes to talk to Rich, who id's himself as the AC expert. Now the two of them say Rich drove the vehicle in bay and the AC was blowing hot air. Hmmmm. I know when a vehicle sits in the sun and you get in it, air blows warm. The vehicle was parked less than 20 yards from the bay. Remember when Vincent called, he never mentioned no AC. Hmmm. Suspicious?! Heck yes! Husband asked if Freon was present. Neither would answer. Hmmmm.. Mind you AC was blowing ice cold when we dropped it off. Also..when did I ask them to look at the AC condenser fan?!? Took vehicle home. Parked it. Disputing $233 charge with my credit card company. Calling Attorney General's Office after reading many complaints similar to mine. Very disappointed!
Took vehicle to a mechanic. Said no AC. They tell us NO FREON. How does that happen. No leaks can be found. No issue with fans or motor.
Call Vincent as he left a message to call and resolve issue. He hung up on me because I reminded him that they gave us three different reasons for a new fan and motor. He said he wouldn't be spoken to like that. Well I'm not about to be cheated. I am disputing the $233.51 for something I didn't order. Why did a tire guy go under my hood? This place really needs to have someone look into the shady dealings. PS...tire pressure monitor light is on. We brought it in for tires and they just wanted to talk about AC.
Desired outcome: $233.51 refunded me. I will pay for tires and alignment. I would like some compensation for my vehicle being disabled for 3 days and payment for the mechanic I had check the AC $53.45. Also an admission and/or apology.
Car was said to be repaired, paid for repairs and car stop working after I got home.
I took my daughter car in a couple months ago to get her car checked because the front tires were wearing threads on inner side. They checked it out and gave me an itemized list of parts and labor to get my daughter car riding smooth and tires not wearing on one side. I called Tire Kingdom on the July 25,2022 to make an appointment to have car repaired and told them I had already purchased most of the stuff from the list they gave me already from the itemized list. They set my appointment for July 29,2022 and was told to bring the car in first thing that morning so that they can get to it and have it ready by closing that day. They allowed me to purchase some parts and they purchase a set of cv axles for me because the cv axles I bought was told they were wrong set. I brought my car a night early and left key where they told me so that they can get to it when they got in to work first thing. I stopped by after work that day around 4:30ish and they say they didn't finish and would finish next day! I stopped by next day and they said that the cv axle was wrong one for that car and they had to order one. I said fine i'll check later. I stop by for a full week car was on lift in shop not touched. I stopped by after about 2 weeks and they said it was ready so I paid for it and left and they say if you have any issues just bring back. I came back same day and told the manager on duty that it was popping and riding hard and shouldn't after I had all these things put on as prior mentioned that it would ride smooth., I drove home and turning into my yard the car popped and stopped moving. Got out car and looked on ground, all of my transmission fluid had leaked out and car would not go into gear because of the cv axle they purchased and put on came out and caused this issue. I called Tire Kingdom and told them what was going on and the on-duty manager said to bring it back and I told him that it won't drive and he said tow it back and we'll check it out tomorrow. I stopped by every day for another 2 weeks and was told a different situation every day, from no mechanic on duty, to we haven't gotten to it yet! Called yesterday and the on-duty manager stated that they didn't get a chance to work on it. I think my car should have been the next car the next day after I brought it in to be checked but because they already got my money, they'll get to me whenever was the answer from them! Wrong answer! I.ve called Corporate 2 times, 1st time after 2 weeks and they said that he would try to have car transferred to another local Tire k
Kingdom for repairs but of course, it didn't happen and never did! 2nd time put in complaint and was told to wait 48-68 hours for response and haven't heard anything
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund for services, car rental reimbursement Also, Tow reimbursement because my car not being repaired correctly was not my fault. Also, pay difference when I have it repaired by dealership.
Oil change
My son took his 2021 Nissan Kicks to the Tire Kingdom located at 24491Sandhill Blvd., Punta Gorda, FL on 5/14/22. My son called me while he was driving on 6/15/22 and said his car was starting to stall. I told him to meet me at the aforementioned location of Tire Kingdom, but the facility was closed. He drove home and after the car cooled down, I looked at the engine. The oil cap was missing and there was oil splattered all over the engine. I had to take his car to Nissan and had to have them replace the oil cap and clean the engine. I received a bill for $221.17. I have talked to the manager at Tire Kingdom about this and he keeps blowing me off. I think that whoever changed my son's oil on 5/14/2022 did not replace the cap and put it on loosely. The Nissan is brand new and my son is the first owner of this vehicle. I think we should be reimbursed for the incurred charges that occurred due to a poor job that was done by Tire Kingdom. Please help me with this. Thank you for your time.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of incurred fees that occurred as a result of a poor job done by the Tire Kingdom location listed on complaint form.
Damage to my 4 Brand New Chrome Wheels!!!!!
On 1 July 2022 I went into the Tire Kingdom Store #6448 located at 3730 Gulf Breeze Pkwy Gulf Breeze FL 32563 at 3:03pm. I came in to get 4 brand new chrome wheels along with for brand new 22inch tires installed on my 2015 740LiXdrive BMW. I provided both the wheels and the tires. After all 4 wheels were mounted on the tires the Service Mgr comes in the waiting room and tells me "Sir one of tour wheels got damaged during installation and it is scratched up pretty bad, but we will take care of it for you. I just need to inform my District Mgr of the issue". I went into the bay and looked at all 4 of my wheels and they were all damaged, deep divets and scratch marks were on each wheel and after looking closer I saw that some of my chrome brackets were broken off and some were totally missing. I took pictures of the damage while my car was still sitting in the bay up on the lift before they were mounted onto my car. I also took videos of the wheels after they were mounted and sitting in the parking lot as the technician was adjusting the air pressure in them. The Service Mgr was horrible, he never told me my brackets were broken off and he wrote on the invoice that only 2 of my wheels were scratched which is a total lie and super understatement when you take a look at the pictures of the damages done to my wheels. I simply want a new set of wheels for my car, I paid a total of $2,878.60 on May 27th 2022 for my wheels from CARiD, and I have my invoice. I look forward to hearing back from someone who can resolve this issue. If not I can have my attorney contact the store or the Corporate Office for resolution options. I'll provide whatever you need to see to prove my claim.

I called for an appointment and given total price for oil change and free tire rotation. After oil change completed, I was charge more than the quote and no tire rotation. Reason was tires on back better than on front, so company policy doesn’t allow rotation. This is not logical. Even new tires at their first rotation will show more wear on front tire...

Told 3 times not in system, even told me my tag number was assigned to another model car. Finally located. Told tires more than ten years old cannot be patched. Told him great, mine are only nine. (I purchased my tires and service plan in 2016, but was sold 3 year old tires). He then stated cannot be repaired because older than four years. Told him you just said ten. He stated i misunderstood him. I DID NOT. An argument ensued in which he said [censored] YOU several times, told me to leave, called for a no trespass and shot me his middle finger several times! When I stated I was complaining, he said he did not care and that the company would do nothing. I told him it is on video and he stated there isn't any audio, so I cannot prove anything. On the phone with dispatch he even admitted to saying [censored] YOU and giving me his middle finger and said there is no law against it. (I think it falls under obscenity statutes.). I did ask for a manager several times and was told there was not one. Your competitor repaired the tire with no hassle and for free! Guess when my next purchase will be.
Desired outcome: review video and dispatch call. Provide better training. Remove him from customer contact.
Price quoted different than actual.
I made a reservation for new tires on line and was quoted $498.59 total (see attachment). I arrived at the appointment as scheduled and proceeded to check in. After the tire change I was told to pay $558.06 ( see attachment). I asked the manager why after I had been given this quote? He said that the online service is a nationwide service and not always accurate.
I have attached a copy of the online quote as well as the receipt for what I paid. All the information is listed.
Desired outcome: I want a refund back to my credit card of $60.00.
Rude employee
I went to the Tire Kingdom center on Port St. Lucie Blvd. this afternoon. I wanted to get 2 front tractor tires changed. There is no parking in the front of the building, only in the back. I walked in the back, there were no signs such as (Don't enter here). I went to the office, and tried to enter the office, and I was repeatedly told not to enter through the work area. I asked if they could change the tires, they didn't even look at them, and said "no." Once again, I was told not to enter through the work area. I told the employee that I had heard him the first time, and if you don't want people to enter from the back, that should be noted somewhere. I was then told for about the fifth time, not to enter through the work area. The layout of the shop does not make sense. You must walk around the whole building to get to the front. Why not make an entrance to the office in the back, where the parking is? This was my first, and last visit to Tire Kingdom. Rude employees, and an unwillingness to help, does not reflect well on their business. I can only assume the quality of their work is equal to their unfriendly disposition.
Desired outcome: I don't have the name of the employee, but I hope this matter is looked into.
Life was endangered after a employee knowingly sold and allowed me to drive on recall tires even after one failed
Polite. Well ok although that is a one way street march 20 2021 I was sold 4 recall tires with no knowledge to me invoice number [protected] then sent back out to drive with them 3 times... Ok im being advised my complaint is too short but be polite impossible after the lack of concern
Desired outcome: have someone besides an operator at customer service call me .. and my number was finally changed and corrected by me so no excuses
Misplaced Michelin tires on wrong size wheel rims
I purchase 4 new Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3+ tires on 12/14/2020 with a warranty on each tire.
On May 12 2021 I returned a one of the tires had a leak, It was taken off and checked for a puncture and none was found. I was concerned that a new tire with less than 800 miles on it since purchased on 12/14/2020 should not be leaking and losing air and suggested that there might be a problem. I was told that the tire "looked OK" . It was put back on my car. On June 10 2021 while having my car serviced at a local auto repair service center the store manager pointed out to me that 2 of the four tires were placed on the wrong sized rims. My Mercedes 2003 slk 32AMG has different sized rims for the front and rear tires. I immedicatley brought it in the the Tire Kingdom store where I initially purchased the d4 tires in 12/14/2020 located at 2348 Tamioami Trail Venice Florida and was informed that despite the tire " looking OK" on 5/12/2021 was now destroyed and needed immediate replacement as " your car is not safe to drive on that tire". I spoke to the store manager Mr. Mark Grandys on two occassions that same day and felt that maybe the other tire ( the second of the two on the wrong wheel rim) should also be replaced and he repeatedly refused indicating that he would not charge me the $80 plus tax fee to replaced the destroyed tire although getting him to not charge me to replace a tire destrodyed because his employee placed the tires on the wrong rim took some discussion to finally allow him not charge me the $80 rebalancing fee. What a guy!.
I then called Michelin Corporate office and they issued me a case ID# [protected] and indicated on their report that " although the tire has obvious damage that does not indicate that Internal Damage has not occurred". a Michelin customer service feels that the two tires placed on the wrong rims needed replaced as the automobil is not safe to drive with the potential for internal damage caused by Tire Kingdom's faulty placement of the tires on the wrong wheel rim. I am requested that the two tires be replaced with new unused Michelin Piloyt Sport AS 3+ tires with a new warranty on these two tires with no out of pocket expense due me for the replacement and other costs associated with their proper replacement of these tires.

Tires
About 3 months ago I purchased 4 new tires. After driving for a bit, I noticed I have to add bout 10 pounds to all 4 tires at least once a month. I have been told it is very dangerous, as I drive on 1-95 a lot and my tires sometimes are really low without my knowing it.
I want them replaced with different tires. I cannot keep putting air in the tires every few weeks !
Please help, the tires have less than 1000 miles on them.
Desired outcome: replace with other tires without it costing me anything. I have already paid a lot for the ones on the car
Online scheduling
I scheduled an appointment with my local tire kingdom on military trail in Delray beach FL for Tuesday 3pm. I received a phone call from Eric at that location stating that even though I had an appointment which I aslo prepaid online, that they were booked and I had to reschedule. Eric stated that the online system of scheduling was not taking into consideration the appointments they book inhouse. In other words your system is not working. I had to reschedule my oil chg and tire rotation for Tuesday June 1st at noon. I'm very upset over this especially after purchasing 4 brand new tires from that location 5 months ago.
