meat department.
I find absolutely [censored]ing ridiculous that you dont have a single chuck roast or turkey over 16 lbs and only 1 person working the meat department. What kind of grocery store only employs 1 person in the meat department. Also the next time one of your male employees smarts off or gets an attitude with me I'll break his [censored]ing face on the spot. Test me and see
Also probably not good practice to leave racks and racks of unwrapped meat just sitting around the meat department while your 1 employee isnt even in the store
chicken soup base
I know you "try" to offer a quality product and save consumers money at the same time, but this (chicken soup base) is Not a quality product. This product use to be chicken soup base.
Now what is alleged to be soup base is nothing more than cornstarch with very little actual chicken fat, or whatever it was previously. Before Winco changed and bought the product from a new vendor, or the vendor changed the product, it had taste and looked like chicken broth.
Now, I may as well, cut up and fry a chicken with fat so I can make soup that tastes like chicken soup. In other words, it's not saving me money. I'll have to buy those nasty cube things if I want chicken flavor, apparently.
customer service
On the way to entering WinCo a man saw that I had a e-cigarette in my hand and my girlfriend had her service dog by her side, he rudely told us both that the e-cigarette was not allowed inside and that the "animal" was not allowed inside as well. As he kept walking inside of the store I had to follow him and stop him by asking him, "where is it posted? the...

Rude workers, stockers (tostidos shirt, no name badges on any of the employees)
Almost got hit with stocking pallet by employee, she(blond fluffy hair, 40's) was rude, did not say excuse me, kept rudely walking pass us on the chip aisle, throwing food and chips around, almost hit my husband with another pallet, (still no excuse me or apology), punching chips for no reason, was not stocking anything. Another employee rudely cut us off and waited until we walked by to act as if she was restocking strawberries when a she really did was cut us off and fiddle with strawberries that were already in place(brunette, apron, 20's), pallets everywhere blocking us from shopping comfortably, trash, sticky tape, and liquid on the floor. In the yogurt/milk section, Male worker was standing on the area where the yogurt and butter were(with his shoes, very nasty). The whole experience was uncomfortable, and obnoxious. This is more of an inconvenience to disabled customers as well as non disabled customers.
hiring staff named tina
Hi,
My name is Austen Hokams and I use to be employed by your company a year ago I have been tring to get rehired back there. The location in in Moscow, ID., but every time I try talking to this Tina person she is very rude. On 9/25/19 I called she said we are not hireing and hung up on me I feel like that was very unperfectional. So I called back and she was still very rude to me so i'm sending to let you know she need better training in customer service. When dealing with people you need to be happy and courteous to people at all time. At least that
is what I was tought by all the places I have worked.
self checkout @ approx. 1234 hrs.
At approximately 12:34 pm. I was using the Self Check out. The clerk came and took the items I was scanning out of my hand and proceeded to scan them for me.
She did not offer to scan them for me or ask if I wanted her help, she just snatched the items and started to run them through the machine.
I walked off and left the items in the bagging area since the clerk was so rude. The woman proceeded to YELL at me that I had to pay for the items. I told her they were on the counter to do with as she pleased, since she had snatched them out of my hand.
The woman proceeded to follow me out of the store yelling at me. I finally turned around. At that point she insisted she needed to talk to me and explain herself, she also complained about how far she had to walk.
I told her three times to leave me alone.
The fourth time I informed her I would call the police if she did not cease.
I really do not appreciate having attention called to myself.
It is rude to snatch things out of a persons hands. I should have been asked if I would like help or assistance. Instead I was treated like a low grade [censored] and thief.
I do not have the woman's name. She was probably 50 +years of age, hard living, over processed grey/bleached hair, maybe 5ft. 5 ins. tall.
customer service
On 08/07/2019, at around 7:30 AM, I was shopping when an employee with a red Coca-Cola shirt and black shorts decided to continuously leer and stare at me. When he walked closer to me and then passed me, he continued to stare and leer, but did not greet me or provide customer service. He was very rude and I felt very discriminated against based off my skin...

The cashiers name was Mallory.
I walked up to the cashier expecting some type of "Hi, how are you" a "hello" or even just a smile. seeing as she is representing the face of the company. I got nothing, she even did her best to avoid eye contact which I found to be very rude. I waited and she never said anything or even looked at me.
The next customer walks up and she right away says "Hi how are you today?" Its not okay to nit pick who you want to greet and who you decide to not.
rosie and manager stephanie
7-31 7:30am. I went into WinCo like I always do everyday to buy food. I asked people in the store about an employee named Darly. I always ask about him. He has always been nice to me and always made sure my experience there is a good every time. I went to check out and Rosie (cashier) asked for my I.D for one beer. I said "Ok no problem". She starred at my I.D for a long time, witch was strange. No-one has ever looked at my I.D for that long, it was for longer then a min, after she refused my service. I said "Ok no problem, I know why your not taking my service because I was asking about an employee named Darly. I will go to Safeway instead" then I walked out. I went to Safeway. I bought my food, then came back to talk to manger because I felt disrespected by the way I was treated. I waited for about 10 mins to talk to manger Stephany. She was on a break or something, idk. I talked to the self checkout guy named Dustin. He was super nice and we talked about his dog, and how he slobbers all over his toy when he brings it back to him. Stephanie Walks back into store around 7:45am I asked to talk to her about Rosie. I said to her that Rosie denied my transition. I told her I come in here every day to buy stuff. Your cashier Rosie denied my transaction. She said to me, "it's because she said your eyes were glossy" I said really that's strange due to me asking about Darly?" She said "yea I heard you" me "ok I've been coming here everyday to buy stuff so why wouldn't I ask about an amazing person that makes my day?" Stephany said again. " my employee said your eyes were glossy" I said " Really do my eyes look glossy now?" She said "no" I said "ok I was just in here 10 mins ago, so how does that change?" She didn't respond but look at me. I looked at her with anger. And said "Safeway took my transition" not to mention I told the checker that worker there about my situation. He said "We would never miss a sell no matter what". Not to mention he has seen me many times buying stuff from Safeway.
harassment, discrimination, racism
I've been with WinCo for 7+ months now and it's been horrible and constantly getting worse. I'm being Harassed relentlessly, treated extremely unfairly and being group targeted by friend circles within the work place. Every night it seems this goes on. These same individuals purposely attempting to get me fired with false accusations & mental abuse.
Read full review of WinCo Foodsmanagement, corporate
I am a smart, motivated, hard-working mother of two with a Master'a degree who had been teaching college/university classes for over twelve years before I started working for WinCo. I made the switch to Winco because I needed the insurance for my family. (Great insurance.)
What a completely horrible, disrespectful, subordinating, socialized, and inhumane company to work for! I loved the job and the customers, as I am a people person and loved the fast-paced environment, but the management and corporate policy is AWFUL! With the exception of a few honest, good people, the assistant and store managers at my location were dishonest, uncaring, cold-hearted, power-hungry sharks who cared nothing about humane treatment of the employees. And the turnover rate of management was appalling. Never was there any sort of established set of standards or order in the store because management heads were always being moved around to different locations and/or fired. New hotheads would come in, think they could run the place, fire the employees who posed any kind of threat to their egos, then move on.
Employees are treated like garbage and the company is not merit-based, meaning an employee is not rewarded or even appreciated for hard work or great service. Instead, he or she is targeted as a threat. An employee who is completely lazy or worthless gets paid the same as (or more) than an employee who is hard-working and devoted to the betterment of the company. Everything is based on a point system with no thought to human involvement. That is cold-hearted socialism. And management gets richer by receiving bonuses while the real workers who earned those bonuses for them get nothing but shunned.
Winco's business model is a horrible system that will ultimately fail because it is not democratic or humane by any means!
need more way for customers to be able to pay
Today, I spent almost 2 hours shopping at Winco rung up my groceries went to go pay with my card and didn't realize that it only took debit cards my bank is supposed to send me my new pin to my new card but I have not received it yet I don't understand why I wasn't just able to swipe credit if the money was in my account. I tried to pay with my checkbook and my license and checkbook had different address moved from ca to id so they couldn't approve that way either . It was a waste of my time, it was embarrassing, humiliating having the cashier tell me next time I need to be able to pay cause she has to throw food away because of me and having seven carts of people stare at you and you have to leave the store with nothing after spending 2 1/2 hours of your day at a store and walk out with nothing knowing I had the money in my bank to pay but no way to pay cause my card and checkbook wasn't enough knowing i see on my phone I money in the bank . Makes me Never want to go to WinCo ever again. My complaint is there needs to be more ways to pay other companies have Apple Pay, PayPal, credit cards and other ways of helping their customers pay for their items but Winco does not it's cash, debit or check if only the check and the ID are the same address. Your Losing customers that love WinCo and lots of money this way
water refill machine
The refill machines are very very slow very very often. Is it possible to service them more often? Portland Oregon. Location on 122 nd. The refill machine in the winco in Gresham the water was not filtered. It was basically tap water. It takes 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes to fill one 5 gallon. This is ridiculous. Please please have someone service every couple of days. And in the summer time it's worse.
I went to Winco. In Eureka to get a refill on water, It had a bad smell for the first time in over 4 months. Ive never had it smell this bad. Please have someone check this location and the filtering.

customer service
I've been a customer of the store #0001 for many years since I left the army In 2004 everything was fine at first. But now it seems Whenever I enter the store I'm being looked at suspiciously from the managers, they look at me as if I'm a criminal about to steal something, the managers casually happen to be at the area where the bread is keeping their eye...

I see one other complaint about this from 2013, I tried out some of the treats from the bins yesterday and an hour later my dog could barely stand up. We'd call him over, and he would struggle to haul himself up on his hind legs, then a minute later staggered and stumbled forward. He laid down for some minutes as I called the vet at night. Watched him for...
Read full review of WinCo Foodsno holiday bonus for you 2018
There will be no holiday bonus this year (2018). The $100 store gift certificate that is issued every year at holiday time to employees will not be happening this year. There are many employees who depend on that to get by. Not sure how it really cuts in to Winco's budget as the gift is for in store purchases only. In any case I encourage other employees to...
